Underwhelming
The gel balls have to be soaked beforehand, and the gun lacks the power to effectively shoot them. Cheaper and more reliable models out there, so I would suggest to keep looking.

Great fun!
Really great fun, easy to set up and use. Quite messy so we've resorted to this being a bath toy!Works well and my son really loves it.

Looks cool, but underwhelming
It comes with gel balls that need to be soaked in water for at least 6 hours before use. You’ll receive a generous amount of gel balls to get started. While it’s a fun toy, the performance is a bit underwhelming, and it’s not very powerful. For the build quality and the price of £37.99, I don’t think it offers the best value.

Not powerful shooting as expected!
Nice Electric gel blaster toysThe set comes with a generous amount of gel balls, which need to be soaked in water for at least four hours. I noticed that using warm water speeds up the gel ball absorption process. The toy is well made and shoots perfectly, but it is not as strong as I expectedThe Battery is easy to charge using the provided charging cable.Overall, I didn’t receive a powerful gun, considering the price!

Extremely Poor Performance
I had high hopes for this gel blaster, especially with such a high purchase price. Unfortunately it just doesn't deliver what's promised. Even with a full battery charge the gun isn't powerful enough to fire the gels consistently.I needed to have the gun turned upside down to help and let gravity also feed the gun. Similar guns of this quality are less than £10.00.

More expensive, but not better.
A generic gel blaster gun, there are many iterations of this product on the market. It's worth noting that most of them are a little han this one, and, crucially, that they usually come with a few thousand gel caps to get you started. This one doesn't, so do remember if you do buy this you will need to buy the caps too. It's also noteworthy that in the listing the gun is variously claimed to be made of 100% carbon polymer, nylon, and ABS plastic. So I wouldn't really trust the listing. This toy is self assembly, and comes with three different clips. The gel caps need to be soaked for about four hours, and the battery needs charging. Once all that faffs done, it feels satisfyingly heavy in the hand, but the fittings feel cheap.Inevitably, the performance falls short of what is promised in the listing. Disappointing.

NOT A TOY ! Dangerously powerful. Hours to setup and only works 50% of the time.
The first and most important thing to say is that this is not a toy -. It is very powerful, and very dangerous at close range. The gun comes in a brown card box, no colour display or gift packaging (but it says TOY on the box). Inside is the gun, several magazines (ammo boxes), battery, sights, and charging cable. The instructions supplied are every small, badly translated, fully of spelling mistakes and don’t really make any sense.Basically, the battery has two connectors. Use one for charging, with the very short included cable. The led on the charger will turn green when done. Then connect the battery to the two connectors in the battery compartment (the plugs only connect one way round). I found the battery quite awkward to get into the compartment, along with the two plugs and cables. The first time I pulled the trigger the thing flew apart. Note that you will have to remove and unplug the battery each time you want to charge it, then re attach and refit it. It would be much better if you could just charge it “in situ” - But you can’t. So quite tedious and fiddly.Next is the ammunition. Tiny little hard balls a couple of mms, which you need to soak in water for at least four hours. As they soak, they absorb the water and expand. The balls need to be 8mm in dimeter. So how do you know when they are the right size? I used a set of digital callipers and kept measuring them, every ½ hour and toping up with water as needed.. Quite a lengthy and tedious process, you need to plan in advance when you want to use the gun, as it takes so long to soak the balls before you can use them. After several hours I had the balls all at 8 mm diameter. Now what? The instructions simply say to store them in an airtight container. I drained of the water in a sieve, and then dried them slightly on kitchen paper. (yet more fiddling). The result is a tub of small squidgy gel balls.Loading the magazine isn’t easy either, perhaps a funnel would be useful. I ended up with more on my kitchen floor than in the gun. But eventually after many hours. I eventually had a charged and loaded gun. I think many would simply get bored with it. It takes so long to soak the balls, whilst you charge the battery, and then very fiddly to refit the battery and fill up the magazines. It’s a lot of work, for a few minutes of fun. I would also add that at least 50% of the time, it either jams or just doesn’t shoot. The instructions say to clear it, but don’t explain how.I decided to try it by shooting it into the shower so as not to make mess (or at least be able to clean it up afterwards). I put my hand in front of the gun and shot a gel ball into my hand. Five minutes late my hand was still stinging! I shot them at a sheet of kitchen tissue they tore it to shreds. I shot them at my bathroom mirror and although gel balls disintegrated on impact, they did so with such force that the mirror rattled and I genuinely though it would shatter (it didn’t but came close).Don't be under any misconception that the gel balls are soft and squishy. They are, (sort of) but at the speed they exit the gun they impact with a shocking amount of force, especially at close range. Within a few feet, they will cause pain and potential injury. I suspect that the gun was originally designed for 8mm plastic BBs (airsoft). But is now being sold with these gel beads as a toy – it really isn’t.Way too fiddly, Gell balls take hours to prepare. Gun only works half the time. and its very dangerous when it does. And its not cheap either. Theres nothing to really recommend it.
