Lovely gift for a grandparent or other family member

I have a 3 month old baby and my dad was diagnosed with cancer. I bought this for him for Father’s Day so my baby can remember him when he’s gone, in his own words! The book is beautiful and great quality

I bought this for my dad for Christmas for my kids, so some day they can learn so much about their pappy…. Unfortunately my dad got Covid for Christmas, he didn’t make it a week into 2022… I never got to give it to him… but we are attempting to fill in things we know for them.., bc now they need it more than ever… buy this well before you’ll need it! Bc once they’re gone, it’s too late…

This book is thoughtfully put together with beautiful writing prompts. The pages are thick but not heavy and glossy but not shiny.I knew that Dad would be more receptive to this if my son gifted it to him for Father's Day.My Dad opened this and said "Message Received"!He flipped through it and said "There isn't enough room for all my stories, so I'll be adding lots of paper."My Dad is a big storyteller, so I'm eager to see what stories he chooses to include in this book.In fact, following this gift, he told me about how my Great Uncle was a part of the Proctor Crew 384 in WWII. I know that this will be just a part of what he includes in this book.I think he was happy with this gift and I'm glad we got it for him.This will be a wonderful keepsake for all of his children and grandchildren.

I feel this memory book was well thought out and laid out just right. The size of the book is about the size of a standard high school year book and is bounded nicely. I believe my dad will enjoy reflecting on his lifetime memories as he fills out the pages for his dear grandson. I will also appreciate reading what he writes so I can learn more about my dad as well. There are some pages that might be difficult for some to fill out, for example my parents divorced when I was only 3 years old, my father didn't live with me so some of the prompts he will not be able to fill out in the category of his memories of me, but overall I feel this is a very special memory book that wil be a treasure for any grandchild.

Grandparents loved it

We use this every week for our family dinner to spark discussion with our grandparents. Lots of the questions are things I never knew about my parents, so it will be fun to pass this book down to our kids to carry on our family history.

Fantastic quality! I was so pleased with how well put together this precious book is. I purchased this one and the Grandmother’s version for another/Father’s day gifts. It really made both of the in-law’s day! I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who would cherish these memories. My FIL asked me, “what if I don’t know the answer?” And my precious husband says, “that’s the fun part, Dad! You get to remix the story!”We laughed until we cried after dinner that night.Needless to say, it created a truly special moment for them and will allow them to reflect on their lives so that they can pass their knowledge forward to generations to come.

It is a beautifully illustrated book and would be good for a "modern" ie young grandfather. Unfortunately I bought it for a 80-90 year old... so some of the questions are not suitable. Besides it seems to be published in the US so many references are to American upbringing and background. So I had to return this beautiful book. On the other hand I bought the grandmother one for a friend of mine and she does not mind the americanism of it.

Bought this for my father as he's a sentimental sausage and loves stuff like this. Some things will have to be worked around eg, the school years as it's an American book but that's easily done. Lovely product!
