RAL3002 Track Light Rails, Halo Single Circuit System, 3 ft per Rail, 2 Tracks per Pack (Total 6 ft Run), Black

4 years ago I started designing a media room/art gallery for my Kansas City home. With Amazon as the hub, I was able to explore options, engineer the project, and procure components at reasonable cost. This 3002 track is from J.Lumi as are my 9601 projector light heads using Phillips dimmable LED bulbs. WAC Lighting provides a useful “L” H track connector for flexibility all controlled by a Lutron dimmer offering theater on/off effect and occupancy sensor.

The original version of these rails was only two conductor and didn't work in my application. I contacted J.Lumi and they sent me a complete replacement set of 3 conductor rails and replaced all the heads with the new ones for no charge. Holy Cow. Plus these lights are just really cool for my recording studio. You won't go wrong here.

I bought 3 of these fixtures because I was looking for track light studio fixtures with barn doors (they're called Barn Doors, not "Flippers" but I digress). These fixtures were the only ones I could find that fit the bill.Unfortunately, all of the barn door hinges are rivets instead of nuts/bolts, so when one of the doors was loose out of the box, I was forced to exchange the entire light and hope the next one didn't suffer the same issue. Why this thing is covered in rivets instead of user-replaceable/adjustable screws is baffling to me. I suppose it saves a few pennies in manufacturing, that's the only reason I can think of.The biggest 'what the...?' with these lights:On paper they accept BR30-sized bulbs. However, the E26 socket in the light is ~3.5" away from the back of the housing, meaning if you put a BR30 bulb in there (those bulbs are ~5.15in long), the bulb's front diffuser literally sticks out past the barn door ring, rendering the already sub-par barn doors completely useless.I just wish somebody would make a better version of these because at $50/each, they honestly feel like I'm being robbed.

I have never done track lighting before but wanted to try one with a smart Phillips Hue bulb setup. I contacted Jay via email ([email protected]) with questions about the product and installation prior to purchase. Jay went above and beyond to help me including detailed explanations and making sure I bought everything I needed including a product from a different vendor. Added some E27 light sockets, adjustable beam angle bulbs, and a floating cradle for power supply for this incredible look. By far the best deal anywhere I could find. Quality is excellent, easy to install. Thank you!

These only come in 2 3' rails and you get 2 in the package. I only needed 1 so I was forced to buy the pair. It would b nice if it came in different sizes as well because I really needed a 4' rail but had to settle. They look nice but I would have been much happier to have other options. Also, I have a3' rail left that I paid for but cannt use.
