The best new thing for laundry since soap!!
So… im old enough to where I’ve grown up knowing that fabric softener is basically a terrible idea. It weakens clothes / frays fibers, creates buildup on your clothes and in your machine (which break it) and covers clothes with a layer of softener. Given this, I was super skeptical to try Gain Rinse and Renew, since it essentially *seemed* like fabric softener. I got a smaller trial size of this and on a whim I used it in a load of color clothes (shirts/pants, underwear, etc.) with little to no expectations it would do anything. Holy crap was I wrong! This stuff breaks down and removes the grimy residues that are unavoidable when wearing clothes (oil from your skin and hair, deodorant and cologne, residues from being out and about in the world) and actually makes them smell and feel brand freaking new! I now use this stuff religiously with every load, and it works great on towels, linens, and anything else that can get gross and smelly from use. This stuff is the best new thing to happen to laundry since soap!!

Smells great
This is a wonderful addition to my laundry routine. I saw the laundry combo viral trend on TikTok using the Downy rinse and refresh. I wanted to try something different so instead of the Downy I got this Gain hibiscus rinse and refresh and love it. I use the Gain liquid detergent, the Downy scent beads and this rinse and refresh and it is an amazing combo. This smells fresh but not powdery and not too floral. It’s the perfect scent. I’ve used all of the other items without this and when I added the Gain rinse and refresh it made a huge difference. It adds the great scent and takes away the sour smell in clothes. Even my kids soccer jerseys. It doesn’t necessary make the laundry softer, but it doesn’t change the feeling at all. It’s a great price for the big size although you do need quite a lot to fill the fabric softener part. I’ve seen some complaints about the spout on the Downy rinse and refresh being faulty but I’ve had no problems with this spout. You just have to be careful not to be too heavy handed. Try adding it to your laundry, you won’t be disappointed.

Didn’t notice a difference, just smells great!
Honestly not a noticeable difference in my laundry at all. Just a little more added fragrance, which I like, but not worth it to me when my detergent is fragrant enough as is.
