K9 Sport Sack Booster Block, X-Small/Small - Dog Carrier Not Included - Provides 3”of Lift

Fits my pet and he is secure while taking a bike ride. Pup is a chewer , this pack is very durable and stood up to his choppers. Would like it to be a little more stable when trying to put pack on back and taking it off. Have to get lower to a table , counter or something for pet to be stable especially if it fidgets in the process of loading and unloading. My pup feels secure once in and rests paws on my shoulders while putting head in air. It’s nice that I can see him over the shoulder . I thought it would be difficult to get pup in. Once I figured out the process it is not any harder than a harness just as long as pet is calm. There are detailed directions with pictures but they were on cards attached to pack. When I detached it, they fell apart and out of order, hence my need to figure it out.

There’s nothing to dislike. It’s about 3” thick lightweight sturdy foam. It’s easy to install-just pop it into the bottom and you’re ready to go. Yes it’s just foam but the convenience and the price is worth it because I Don’t want to purchase more than I need. It was made to exactly fit for your Sports Sack. I originally purchased my sports sack for my one dog until I rescued another one. She’s the type that has short bursts of energy and then she’s spent so taking her out on three mile walks was not something she could do. I found this foam and it is perfect for my new little low rider so that she can get that little boost and be able to see above my shoulders. I love that it doesn’t add any more weight but still firm enough that is comfortable for her to stand or sit on for the walk.

I have had a medium K9 Sport Sack for several years for an older dog and it has worked well, held together. I got the one that supports 40lbs, the "Plus 2". Then a smaller dog hurt his leg, and it will probably be a permanent issue, so I bought a small pack of the same model. He is in the low range for that pack. It worked, but his head did not ride high, and his arms did not stay well in the slots. So I got this booster, and the adjustment does the trick, his head is higher, and he rests his arms on my shoulders, and they stay put. I think he likes his head being higher, so he can see well, and resting his arms on my shoulders gives him a more comfortable ride.

I had to get the size small K-9 Sport Sack for our Pomeranian instead of the XS because of how round she is but her body is too short for it. This booster block gave her the extra height she needed to be comfortable. I appreciate the fact that the cover has a zipper and can be removed and washed. The foam itself is fairly squishy and looks and feels cheap. It already has a couple dings in it after just a few uses and does not seem like it will hold up for a long time. For this reason I only gave it 4 stars. We only use it once or twice a week so it will probably hold up well enough for us but if you plan on using it frequently it may not. I feel like a dense memory foam would hold up longer. Since the cover can be removed and washed and it is a perfect fit in the small K-9 Sport Sack I think this was a good purchase at $9.95.

Took our 7 month corgi on a hike. He did not need a block. He needed it only half the time while we hiked. Very sturdy and well made. Used it twice so far and love it. Our corgi seems to love it too.

This was a perfect fit in the small pack. It gave my little dog the boost she needed to fit in our newest sack.

I have a doxie and I love anything that allows me to take her with me when I'm out. We hike with this in areas where her short legs would tire her. I put her in the backpack to shop in areas where dogs aren't normally allowed. She loves going bye bye and up on my back she can see everything and everyone.

The foam is not that great, pretty stiff, won't add comfort for your dog. The product itself is not very well made either.
