If you've upgraded to a note-taking eReader like the Kobo Libra Colour or the Kobo Elipsa 2E, the Kobo Stylus 2 is the essential companion for unlocking their full potential. This second-generation stylus is a major upgrade over the original, featuring a rechargeable battery via USB-C, which means no more hunting for rare AAAA batteries. It’s significantly lighter and more ergonomic, making long journaling sessions or marking up textbooks much more comfortable. The functionality is where it really stands out for students and professionals. It features an intuitive highlighter button on the side and a built-in eraser on the back, allowing you to edit your notes as naturally as you would with a pencil and paper. On the Kobo Libra Colour, it even allows you to write and highlight in multiple colors, which is a game-changer for organizing study notes or color-coding your planner. With 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, the "ink" flows smoothly with virtually no lag, whether you're jotting down a quick thought or drawing detailed diagrams. One of the best design tweaks is that it now attaches magnetically to the side of the Kobo Libra Colour and Elipsa 2E, so it's always right where you need it. The kit also includes two replacement tips, ensuring you have plenty of use before needing to restock. If you're looking for a seamless, "it just works" experience with your Kobo device, this is the definitive choice. It transforms your eReader from a simple book into a powerful, paperless productivity tool.

It works well with me KLC 2

As of September 5, 2025, i do not recommend. Ive had this pen for a few months now. I doesn't stay charged. When it's charged, it's fine. But no matter how long I try to charge it, it always seems drained when i go to use it. Also, it's a (possibly knock off) HP stylus? Regardless, buyer beware. Spend your money on an actual kobo stylus. This is junk.

The original Kobo stylus works fine, but having a backup made sense—especially at this price point. I've got a Kobo Libra Colour that gets daily use for reading and annotation, and paying full price for another OEM stylus felt unnecessary when third-party options are available. What I Liked It works exactly like the original. Pressure sensitivity responds properly, palm rejection functions as expected, and there's no lag when writing on the e-ink display. The build quality feels comparable to what Kobo ships—not premium, but not cheap either. It's an EMR stylus, so no charging is required. Just pick it up and write. For anyone who's used the original Kobo stylus, there's no learning curve here. It behaves identically for note-taking and marking up ebooks. What Could Be Improved The finish is slightly different from the original—a bit more plasticky in hand. It's not a dealbreaker, but if you're particular about how your tools feel, you'll notice. It would be nice if it came with a spare nib or two, given the price. Alternative Uses Works as a dedicated annotation pen if you keep one stylus at your desk and another in your bag. Good option for anyone who lost their original or wants a spare without paying Kobo's replacement price. Bottom Line For anyone who needs a replacement or backup stylus for their Kobo Libra Colour or Elipsa 2E without paying full price for the official version, this just might be your pen. Does the job, costs less, no complaints.
