How? Because now I don't have smelly slimey cat food spread all over my kitchen floor and cupboard sides three times a day! I purchased this feeding station to improve the look of where I feed my cats as it looks better than the mish mash of all the different bowls they had. I really didn't think it would or could improve the mess situation that one of my cats makes. He eats really fast and shovels the food out of the bowl spreading it everywhere, grunting while he does it! Even my other cats would give him the side eye in disgust! Then I would have to get on my knees to try and pick the stuff up off the floor and bin it, then clean the floor. It was driving me crazy!Well this feeding station has changed that. He still eats the same way, but because the bowl is so curved and smooth the food tends to slide back in to the middle of the bowl. Only a tiny morsel might come out but it sits on the edge of the wood surround and can easily be prodded back in to the bowl. There no nooks and crannies or crevices for food to get trapped. I haven't had any food on my floor since having this. The bowls pop out really easily, and are very easy to wash with a little detergent and warm water.Also they now eat all the foods when it is served, and not leave it to dry out and get wasted. Obviously due to the shape of other bowls they couldn't eat the rest of the food as it was getting stuck in corners.So to sum up :*It stops food waste as they eat it all and lick the bowls clean*It stops food ending up on the floor*Very easy to clean*It looks beautiful. Very good quality.I love it! My cats love it! Definitely worth the money.

Needed new bowl solution as I was looking to move feeding location from dining room into kitchen. Kitten (10m old) is used to raised catit bowl which I was moving to another room and when I saw these raised ones and similar brands (cheaper prices), I was swayed to this one by the stylish quality including being whisker friendly. Glad to see you can get replacement bowls. Within a couple of minutes he had his first feed in new location with no trouble and also drinks more water as he can see it easily. Great product and a happy kitty.

Love the bamboo, bowls are easy to remove and clean. Cats took to them right away. This is a very LARGE piece though, it'd be great for large dogs. I think the anti-whisker fatigue feature is wonderful. I may have to buy another one because my cats are competitive and not sure like to dine next to each other! These bowls are well-made and look nice in my kitchen. They are lightweight and easy to lift to clean floor. I also believe that no mats are necessary. They have rubber bottoms and no sliding. Easier to just sweep under them and soak up spills with paper towel. Would recommend. Price point is high but I feel they will last a long time.

I love the design but my cat seems to be afraid of the plastic bowls. I ended up having to put stainless steel bowls on top of the openings so he would eat off of it. Changed my star rating as the customer service I received from the designer at Fox & Fren was outstanding. They are working with me to ensure my cat enjoys the product.

It's a very nice looking pet feeder, I love the bamboo wood finish for the feeder, but the only thing that disappointed me is the plastic bowl, even it says they are BPA free. I read some articles online, and they said even BPA free plastic it still hurts our pet's health... BUYERS PLEASE CONCERN! If you really love your dog, you'd better use stainless steel bowls for feeding your dog water and food. I haven't found any bowl match the cut area in this pet feeder, but I will keep looking for it... If anyone find it or the seller are selling the same size bowl in stainless steel finished I would love to buy it, thank you very much!

I was initially drawn to the simple beauty of the design. I have been using it (or rather my cat has been using it) for over four months) and it has make his eating easier. Less food has ended up on the floor. It is simple to clean. I bought extra bowls (stainless) so that I can swap out the bowls as they are used and have clean ones ready all the time. The feeder is well designed (sturdy, easy to clean, etc.) but it is also beautiful. It looks well in the dining room (where the cat is fed). Keep up the good work.

This is a great design cat food bowl. My teenager kitten is able to comfortably drink water though she is scared somehow of the clear plastic bowls. I think in time she will adjust but a steel bowl might have been better. She constantly thinks there is something underneath and walks up carefully before eating. Will see how she does in a few days.Otherwise the product is nice. Also has the rubber grips on the bottom so she cannot tip it over or move it and spill water on my wood floor.Followup Review: Been 2 days and this just didn't work for my cat. She used it once to drink water hesitantly but then never again. She nor I could see if there was water in the bowl with the clear bowl design and the fact that water is clear also. Also she would not eat from it. She cried and cried until I put back her old bowls. I gave it 2 stars for its design of the holder itself however. Sturdy and does not move on the floor. But bowl design did not work. Maybe steel would have worked? Maybe it will work for your cat. Its a hit or miss.

My cat loves new feeder. No having to introduce him to a lifetime of having to hunch over for water & food. I feel soooo guilty not doing long ago.Will probably order another.
