Q: Does this paint need a primer when applied to brass?

No just apply a thin coat and work yourway up with a couple of coats more . Also it will need a sealer coat as when you touch it it will mark

Q: Will this be ok to spray over my gold letterbox is it waterproof?

I would think so. I Sprayed a BBQ panel over 18 months ago and it has not weathered at all.

Q: Can i use this to change the colour of my fire from gold to silver?

Should be fine I changed my bbq from black to silver.
