Makki Professional Semi Permanent Hair Colour Mask Dye Tint

I have brown hair that has taken several months to bleach light enough to dye grey. I loved the colour my hairdresser did but it only lasted a week or so. I use this product one or twice a week to keep my hair a steel grey colour and only go to the hairdresser to get my roots lightened. I dilute this with white conditioner and leave it on for about 40 minutes. This works so much better than any other silver dye I've tried and a tube lasts me a couple of months.

I was a bit scared about trying this, to be honest. I have had really dark hair all my life, but started going grey when I was 19 so it has been dyed for the last 20 years. I finally got fed up with spending a fortune colouring my hair every five weeks and going through bottles of root touch up spray to make it through to the next appointment. When I had to spray my roots ten days after my last appointment because I woke up sporting a silver skunk stripe I lost my rag and decided to just let the grey grow in. To ease the pain of this I had my hair bleached out to blonde and when it was light enough the hairdresser put grey toner in it. This looked great for all of two washes, after which the grey just washed out and left me with silver roots and blonde hair.Now this, on the other hand, this is brilliant. I watched a few YouTube tutorials to see how to apply this and I did a strand test first. I ended up diluting it with white conditioner (approx. 60ml of this to 100ml conditioner but I could probably just do 50:50 next time). I bunged the mix on for about 20 mins and was rewarded with a lovely, steely grey when I rinsed it out. This has lasted me two weeks at this point and I am pretty sure I will get to week three before I have to redo it. I am super happy about this. I only wash my hair two to three times a week (dry shampoo is a wonderful thing) so I will probably get longer out of this than most people, so bear that in mind if you wash your hair every day.It also doesn’t seem to have dried my hair out and while it has obviously faded up a bit it has done so evenly and the colour still looks nice. When this bottle starts to run low I will definitely be ordering myself another one. I reckon this product will be a great help to see me through my grow out phase until my hair grows enough that I can cut the bleached ends off and just go natural because it doesn’t permanently colour the hair and won’t mess with my own silver roots. Which have a disturbingly large amount of white in them for hair belonging to somebody who isn’t even 40 yet, but never mind. I’m just glad some trend setter made the “granny hair” look into a fashion thing so I could ditch the dye and pretend to be cool instead of just someone who was fed up battling prematurely grey roots.

Not used the silver one yet but did use the grey. I applied the grey onto very light blonde hair and within 3 minutes it went quit dark. I washed it off and it was a little dark in places. But after three washes with head and shoulders it went to the perfect light grey colour I wanted. Next time I will mix it with a conditioner to lighten the grey a little. 👍

Initially I made mistake and bought 'Silver' (pale purple) instead of 'Grey (dark grey)'. So I realised it and ordered Grey and it wasn't disappointing! My hair is dark brown colour almost black and partially breached to dark blonde, with full of awkward red/orange pigment. So I mixed Silver and Gray and applied to my bright part of my hair and the result was awesome. My bright part of hair became ashey shade, nearly green, mixed with my based colour. I definitely buy Grey again! (Silver was also good to mix but it was too pale to be seen on my hair colour, it may work only on bright blonde) The nice colour lasts at least for a week or two, gradually becoming brighter after every wash. Also, those two products both arrived very quickly even I used standard postage.

I use this after bleaching highlights in my medium brown hair. The highlights turn out orange as i expected. I literally comb this through straight away after washing the bleach out and rinse out after a minute or so. I covers the orange and leaves an ashy blonde colour. On the end where the lightest highlighted parts are the grey can be seen in some lights. I wanted this to cover the orange rather than go grey. On light bleached hair id imagine the colour would be very grey. It stained my nails a little after application so is obviously good stuff!

I WOULD GIVE THIS PROFUCT A 0 OF I COULD. I PURCHASED THE GREY SHADE APPLIED ON VERY LIGHT HAIR AND MADE MY HAIR SO SO DARK AND PATCHY. I READ ON THE REVIEWS SAYING THAT HEAD AND SHOULDERS HELPS WITH GETTING THE COLOUR OFF. I BEEN WASHING MY HAIR SEVERAL TIMES A DAY TO GET RID OF IT. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALSO THE WORST I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH ON AMAZON.

(grey): It's good, simple and easy to use, (I use it once a week in the shower), I got a few uses out of it (5 - but I have extremely thick long afro hair, you may get more) so you need to use it regularly so a bit pricey for my budget hence my 4 stars. Don't forget to towel dry first. And your hair definitely needs to be totally stripped to white blonde before you use it. I would buy it again and try the other colours too. My circles like the colour - it's dark but you can add conditioner with it to make it less dark... and it will probably go a long way then.

This is the best grey dye I've used. Not too blue or too purple, a true grey (as long as your hair is paper white before you use this). I find a bottle lasts for ages as I dilute it with a white conditioner. It comes out the bottle looking very black, and there's no way I can cover my head in the 3 to 5 minutes that the bottle recommends you leave this on for if using straight. I usually leave my mix on for anywhere up to 90 minutes. It doesn't fade ridiculously fast either, I like a darker shade, so it just fades to more of a silver from a dark steel colour, which still looks lovely. Really good value for an excellent product. Seller/service also great. This usually arrives within a couple of days of ordering, however I ordered a bottle yesterday and it arrived this morning. Win!
