Pachmayr Grip Extender Black Smith & Wesson M&P Compact, 9mm, 40 Cal

Fit perfectly no problem installing and feels really good with the extra grip it provides. I had trouble finding this part for my M&P 40 Compact 2.0 and read some reviews saying it had to be modded to fit 13rd mags. I did not have to do nothing but install and it's a nice tight fit. So if your looking for that extra grip and you have M&P 9 or 40 Compact this will work for you

Bought these to extend the 15-round mags on my M&P9 2.0 Compact because my pinky felt left out. Like others who've left reviews, my mags and these baseplates didn't jive, so it was off to the workbench. I put a piece of masking tape on the missing hole and laid it out with measurements from the OEM plate. I scored the outline with a fresh blade in the utility knife a couple times to establish a guide for a drill bit. I put an 1/8" drill bit through the corners and followed with a 1/4" bit dead-center of the cutout. I connected the corner dots with my utility knife and violin! Works like a charm. Great fit and feel compared to the 17-round mags with the sleeve on them.

It saddens me to say to say I have fell for many miss calls of what says it fits. I assumed the pictures are generic and the actual product fits the size ordered. Not the fact. The picture is what you get no matter what they say it fits. If the picture doesn't look right don't order it. Even if it looks close. Look at the details. They all sell the same two versions at different prices but they are the same. They sell as a promise to fit all s&w m&p 9 2.0 or similar but they don't. The s&w shield maby but nothing more. The rest only fits the glock. Look at the slide rail. S&W has an intured rail glock has an outside rail. These are not interchangeable. As a rail I mean the base plate. The rail is which the base slides on. The Glok is most common and most sold and passed off as universal when they are not in the USA... not saying it's a bad product it just doesn't fit my S&W M&P 9 2.O Sub-Compact 3.6 barrel original 10 round Magazine as claimed. Looks the same but the rail connection is inside out. The pin lock round hole is the same. But no way it can slide on...

Reasonable quality. As the come they slide on the bottom of the magazine but the retaining clip is a round hole in the center and the 2.0 requires a rectangular hole in rear of the base. They can be modified to function but don't as they come. They also aren't fantastic quality the surface finish and fit and finish are what warrants the 4 star rating. I'll update if they fail unduly.

All of the reviews and questions answered for this product were very confusing to me but I went ahead and placed the order. I own a S&W M&P 9mm M2.0 Compact with a 4" barrel. The gun came with three 15 round magazines. These grip extenders fit very well and are easy to install. My only complaint is that the texture of the plastic doesn't match the texture of the frame that well. It actually sort of matches the mag release button. Anyhow, overall I think that this is a good product at a great price.

I seen where someone posted that these do fit for the s&w m&p 2.0 compact 4" ..they infact do sleeve over the magazine BUT the do not have a hole for the male lock prong thats on the plate that actually touches the spring ..that locking mechanism is important when pressure is applied with a full capacity mag ..you sure wouldn't want it to slide off and your spring and amo go flying out at the range or worst case cenero in a self defense situation...but they are not costly i kept mine and drimmled two holes for the locking prong hearing that snap when sleeving the extention over just make mr feel better and that my sidearm is secure...hope this will help other buyers ...

Not for M&P Shield, which I have as of yesterday 08.05.2021.So, due to my novice state, it's my bad, I need to look at the fine details of things now. lolThey look good though.
