I'm guessing it's not for everyday photography use as I see other vests out there costing 8 times as much but for my casual use
I see a lot of mixed reviews for this product. So far I've only worn it twice. It seems to me to be a decent value for the money. Plenty of pockets for me. Holds my 70-300 Canon lens. The two zippered front pockets are quite large. Sizing on my XL was accurate. Can't comment on how well it will hold up. I'm guessing it's not for everyday photography use as I see other vests out there costing 8 times as much but for my casual use it should be fine.

The seams on large pocket frayed after first time worn. The design is good but workmanship is not.

Yup
A bit longer then I would like but it fits great. I use it for geocaching, it holds all my goodie for trading and tools need for caching.

Great for fieldwork.
This holds my notebook and a lot of other tools perfectly. The mesh construction is lightweight and ventilated to be comfortable in summer.

Poor Quality
Very poor quality...had to send it back for a replacement...the replacement came back and was also poor quality.

My mistake.
Got myself confused on the order. The National Geographic Catalogue is where I should have gone to order the light-weight "Traveler" vest with synthetic material. Light as all get-out, good for summer wear. But I love the HUMVEE series vests otherwise and kept this one.

Flimsy, cheap, baggy, useless for photography
This might be fine if purchased for less than $10 out of a clearance rack in your local Walmart. It is certainly not worth more than that, and not useful for photographers at all. I'm disgusted with Adorama (purchased through Amazon) for stocking this junk. I've seen better stitchwork on seventh grade home economics projects. The zippers stick, and the larger pockets bag when anything larger than a pack of gum is placed in them. I wouldn't trust the pockets for carrying any camera gear, except perhaps lens paper.
