I had known about Beth Neilsen Chapman for a few years and liked her lovely songs but it was recently that I brought this CD as after listening to her lyrics she has an empathy with the recently bereaved (my husband passed on 2nd October 2013 aged 54 years), & I am so glad I purchased the CD because her songs are helping me with the grieving process. I also chose the track "I Find Your Love" as my goodbye to my husband at his funeral. This CD has a variety of happy song too, not all sad, and her voice is just sublime & comforting. I have gone onto buy 2 other CD's from her & I am extremely happy with all the purchases.

Another great to listen to album by Beth. There are better albums in her collection, but if you are a fan of her incredible voice you will enjoy this collection of songs

Yes, it is simply lovely. Great words, great tunes and a great voice. It has been listened to again and again.

My introduction to Beth Nielsen Chapman was hearing I Find Your Love on the radio, and so I had to buy the album containing this song. She has a beautiful, evocative voice and the ballads she sings are emotionally charged. Only four stars though, as I think the more up tempo numbers are run of the mill for me. Lovely dobro playing on The Reason, by the way. I would also recommend her earlier Greatest Hits album.

Have three of her albums now & not a bad one amongst them. Her voice is sublime, & delivery impeccable.

I've liked Beth Nielsen Chapman from the very beginning. This CD has been out for over a year, and I finally bought it. It is a wonderful trip. As usual, she has a number of different styles - jazzy THE REASON and title song, pop style tunes in TRYING TO LOVE YOU and RIGHT BACK INTO THE FEELING, and a little more country than normal in TIME WON'T TELL. But, her trademark sound comes through on I FIND YOUR LOVE, TOUCH MY HEART, and the duet with her son, YOUR LOVE STAYS (also a little more country than usual). Her voice is crystal clear, her composition is flawless. It's probably NOT as good as SAND AND WATER, but it's up there with YOU HOLD THE KEY to offering a great variety for a solo singer. If you want one of the best - fairly unknown - singer/songwriter in the US, give Beth a listen.

Durch Zufall stieß ich auf dieses Album der 'Beth Nielsen Chapman' und es war schon am Anfangetwas besonderes für mich - warum weis ich immer noch nicht genau.Diese ausdrucksstarke und angenehme Stimme mag dafür verantwortlich sein, aber auch die Duetteklingen sehr gut und sind stark gesungen.Manche songs klingen wie aus einem älteren amerikanischen Liebesfilm mit luftigem Klangteppichund schönem Orchester (z.B. "Look")Teilweise klingen diese Titel auch ziemlich nach Jazz, stört mich aber keineswegs.Schön sind auch die Gegensätze, dass nach so einem scheinbar zeitlosen Lied ein handfesterPop/Rock-Song folgt - in diesem Fall ist das "Free" (dessen Anfang mich total an den vonSheryl Crow's Hit "Everyday is a winding road" von ihrem Meisterwerk aus dem Jahr 1996 erinnert).Aber gleich danach gehts wieder extrem ruhig, schön und melodiös weiter mit "Touch my heart".Dies ist natürlich eher eine CD der leisen Töne, wilde Titel gibt es keine - nur etwas leichtenRock bzw. Country - das Album kann man schlecht in Genre einteilen.Es folgt mit "Time Won't Tell" einer meiner Favoriten - dieser ausgezeichnete Gesang undwunderbar gespielte Gitarren zeichnen das ganze Album aus.Die Band ist dementsprechend auch sehr hochkarätig besetzt !Mit Namen wie u.a. "Dan Dugmore" oder "Tom Bukovac" an den Gitarren, "Craig Young" und"Viktor Krauss" am Bass, "Jerry Marotta" spielt in allen Titeln das Schlagzeug.Nicht zu vergessen, dass sie selber fast immer Gitarre und Piano auch selber spielt.Auf der CD läuft mittlerweile "Will and Liz", der Song ist zwar vorsichtig Instrumentiertund wird nur beim Refrain etwas lauter - hier ist weniger wirklich mehr - wunderschön !Weitere Highlights sind der Opener "Trying to love you" mit exzellenter Akustik-Gitarre.Außerdem "Who we are", der mich auch an alte Klassiker erinnert; man hört einen tollenBass und sehr bewegende Melodien, die unter die Haut gehen - einer der besten Songs hier.Gefühlsbetonten Hörern, die auch bereit sind, wirklich zu zuhören und die ruhige, hochwertigeKunst zu schätzen wissen, würde ich dieses Album sehr nahe legen.Zum Meisterwerk mag noch etwas fehlen, normal würde ich 4,5 Sterne geben, aber 4 wären zu wenig :)

やっと見つけました〜♪NHKで放送されたターシャ・テューダーの番組のエンディングに使われていた曲 † I FIND YOUR LOVE †初めて聴いた時はターシャの映像と相まって、まるで自分も陽だまりのなかで 大地に寝そべって心地いい風に やわらかく包みこまれているような‥あるいは自分という存在が風そのものになったような感じさえしました。初めは誰が歌っているのか何という曲なのか‥???全くわからず('`;)歌詞の中から曲名では?と思われる言葉を選んでは検索にかける‥を何度もチャレンジして、ついに!!探し当てることが出来ました\(^^)/〜♪テレビで聴いた時よりもピアノのタッチが強く感じられて 穏やかな静けさに浸れないのがちょっぴり残念です☆が、ターシャの番組で気になってた方にオススメです♪
