Does work (its fast too), but hard to use the manual to set up. Use my instructions instead.
Like everyone else here I fought through the translated instruction manual. Details follow, but eventually got it connected (repeater only was my need) and it's fast. After about an hour, it disconnected. I went back in and reset up again, so we'll see if this is a chronic problem or one time disconnect.Details/Tips:DO NOT USE IPHONE TO SET UP. For whatever reason, the one radio button you need is not visible in iOS and will drive you to drink to figure out.YOU MUST USE A COMPUTER TO SET UP. Then it was easy!Step 1: Plug AC1200 in the outlet you will leave it in. I picked the most central location in my house, but your location may differ.Step 2: Find the COMFAST network and connect to it via WiFi- MUST USE COMPUTER FOR SET UP. MUST USE CHROME OR FIREFOX. DO NOT USE IPHONE or EXPLORER.Step 3: Open Chrome or Firefox and enter web address: 192.168.10.1Step 3: You will then see the COMFAST interface. Enter "admin" as password and then click LOGIN.Step 4: Select "repeater" from the COMFAST menu.Step 5: Find the network you want to repeat. Click the radio button under "select" for that network.Step 6: Scroll down to the bottom of the page. You'll see the Comfast named SSIDs that are your new repeating SSIDs. You can change these to anything you want.Step 7: It also asks for a "key" under the SSIDs. Enter the same network password you use on the network you are trying to repeat.Step 8: Once entered, Repeater will reboot. Give it a minute and then you should see the new SSIDs. These will be in addition to your original network SSIDs. Enter your network password and connect away.If at any point you went halfway into the set up and aren't seeing the above, you can press and hold (about 7 secs) on the round disc on the front of the repeater to reset and start over. I had to press on an edge (not the middle of the disc) and you'll see a quick flash indicating the reset. Sometimes I pressed the "down" edge and it reset, sometimes I pressed the "right" edge and it reset. Even though the button is a disc, I felt like it was more of a "+" sign configuration.Good luck. I will update this review if the disconnect occurs regularly. Otherwise, I will be taking this up to 5 stars. This thing is fast!

Hard to set up, but works.
The instructions are totally useless. A step by step HTML file with screen captures, annotated by a competent English speaker, on their website would be a good option.Once I got it configured, it works well. I think the dual band option is worth the extra money, as you may want it later even if you don't need it now. The $10 coupon convinced me to buy it.It only took me four or five hours to get it going. My experience was different from other purchasers.No known browser would connect wirelessly, so I connected the cable. Entering 192.168.10.1 in Firefox brought up the software. The software is a long way from user friendly, but I got through it by trial and error. I only set up the repeater, nothing else, then disconnected the cable.When you finally get through the software, two new connections appear, even if your router only broadcasts on one frequency. Disconnect from your regular connection, and connect to the new one. Done.If you mess up the password, not that I would ever do such a thing, go to Network and Internet settings, search for 'Manage' > Change wifi settings > Manage known networks > Click the one you want gone > select 'Forget'.'Manage' > Change wifi settings > Show available networks > configure the new one, which will be your old network name with a -2G or a -4G appended.I'm not about to try it, but I suspect a power outage will require configuring it again.

Outstanding Company and Product
When I ordered the product I did not understand how to get it set up. I wrote the company and had an outstanding experience with Amma helping me and following up with me until all was working great. The service and follow up was unlike most! I found the product to be just what I needed and like I said the service and follow up was the best! You will be happy with this product and the company as they truly believe in service after the sale!

Poorly translated, cryptic instructions.
I have it installed in my house, about 25 feet from the router and 25 ft from the target device (2 floors away). It works well, boosting my internet speed by 5 times. The problem is setup instructions. The writer's command of English is a joke and beyond that, the instructions are cryptic. If they provided good instructions, this would be a good product. As it stands now, most customers are likely to give up and return the product.

Did Spread WiFi around House with Good coverage, but stopped working after 5 months.
I was satisfied with this sending wifi signals from Cameras around the House, but it has stopped working and Amazon says it could not be returned after August. Guess I will have to start looking around.

Stops working after 12 hours or less
Connecting was easy. That being said, once it's set up and I connect my devices, within the first 12 hours the unit will disappear from wifi connection lists completely and will not return. Then have to reset it and try again. And it continues. Unit will be returned or thrown in the garbage.
