Writing Journal / Notebook, Flexible Soft Leatherette Cover, 256 Premium Blank Ruled Pages, Blue and Silver Embossed, 5x7"

I bought this without perusing the description and was under the wrong impression that this was made by Eccolo, as this appeared among the list of many Eccolo journals that have similar looks and size. However, these are actually made by Fine Keepsakes, one of the sellers of those Eccolo journals on Amazon.Despite this not being made by the bigger brand, I think this will function well enough and has a nicer design than most Eccolo journals because of the actual "silver lining" that goes around the embossed cloud. It looks very clean-cut and adds a nice touch that subtly stands out, unlike Eccolo journals that have only two tones of color.However, there are a few differences:- Unlike the Eccolo journals, this does not have rounded corners, both the cover and the papers.- This uses slightly thinner paper, but very slight so I doubt there is much difference in usage. I haven't written on both papers yet.- The first page (the spread immediately inside the cover) does not have a pattern printed on, and thus looks less polished/luxurious.I haven't actually used this journal yet so I cannot comment on some important aspects of a journal, such as how the paper takes different inks, how flat the journal lies - it doesn't lie flat initially, but I haven't tried to break the spine - and how durable it is. However, from observation I can say that the paper quality is not terribly lacking nor the binding too stiff or weak. The lines are not too dark, nor too light (for lighter lines, go with Peter Pauper Press).Although this journal is slightly lesser in quality than Eccolo journals in these ways, this journal is also slightly cheaper, and looks better in my opinion.This is not one of those high-quality journals to write in with fountain pens and pass on as an heirloom. But its size, cheap price and unique design (if you appreciate this sort) are enough for me to like it as a decent, portable journal to carry in my backpack and write in with everyday sharpie pens and gel pens.

I really like this! The book is NOT flimsy or cheap like you might think because of the price. It is well made... The cover is nice and feels good in your hand and the paper is really high quality.The detail work on cover is gorgeous and the cloud is well defined - it brings out the cover slogan loud & clear =) it looks even better than the picture. The silver lining adds a unique touch. It's high quality & a perfect size for on the go journaling - sure to be a hit for anyone who journals or is thinking about it.As unique as it is beautiful - the Journal arrived quickly and well packaged.

It's a cute little notebook, just as described! It's a great size too, a little smaller than I had expected looking at the picture but not too small by any means and it should fit in a medium-sized satchel comfortably. The paper looks and feels pretty thick although I haven't written in the journal yet. The binding feels very sturdy, so it may be a bit of a struggle to open the book out flat at first. The cover feels nice and soft too. I love that the pages are not a pure white but a more cream/yellowish color - it works well with what I'm going to use this journal for!

I purchased this journal and was very pleased with the presentation as well as the paper and binding:It has one of a kind cover, inspiring design. It's a good size for tucking into a purse or backpack, yet large enough so you don't feel cramped jotting down your thoughts.The pages within the journal feel high quality they are a creamy color and are tightly sewn into the book but very flexible, it is very comfortable to write in it.I just love it and highly recommend it!

Plain, simple; leather covers, heavy & slightly yellowish paper. Easily bendable. Can lay almost 100% flat for easy writing. I think the small size makes it perfect for personal notes / diaries but not so much for college-style notes-taking.Comes with a slender bookmark from the manufacturer

perfect size. About the size of a DVD case. A little smaller. Soft cover but thick and very nice. The cover feels like leather and the cloud is Pages are off-white.

Beautiful small pocket sized journal. Perfect to write ideas as they come to you at anytime. Because it's small, it can fit in purse or bag for quick access!
