Several reviews have stated that they needed drivers for this dongle to work. Whilst I can’t comment on other people’s experience of this device, I can only think that they may need to update their Windows installation. I have used this device on my laptop (Win11), my desktop PC (Win10) and also my virtual pinball table PC (also Win10). Each of these was auto-detected and a full plug-and-play experience.Connection was effortless and worked first time, with good, stable reception of my home network wifi. You can’t really want much more than that. Can you?!For the seven pounds or so at time of purchase, this is a brilliant value for money accessory. Would I recommend it? Well, yes. Absolutely. In fact, this is the second one I’ve bought in the last twelve months and the first is still going strong.If you’ve read this far, just buy it. You won’t regret it.

Works well, driver install on my old windows 7 pc no problems. Linked up to the WiFi without any issues

Plugged it in and it worked almost immediately. The mini CD drivers were not needed. I have a 10 year old windows 10 pc. I have found the speeds to be around 2rds of what I get over ethernet cable. Unfortunately the signal is not stable enough to play fortnite over (kept getting random lag spikes) so I've reverted back to ethernet.

This item is great, just had new fibre installed, so my old desk top pc which is situated nowhere near the new router, was unusable as it had no Wi-Fi thought I would have to shell out for a new laptop but gave this a go! At the price thought I would give it a shot. Ime not savy about tech and usually get family in to do these sort of things, but I just plugged it in and it worked the second time I put in my router password, a disc came with it, but didn’t need it!!! Ime amazed how easy it was, just have to connect my printer to Wi-Fi now, but that’s another challenge I hope is just as easy .

Worked when first plugged in to Windows 10 PC, found its own driver, reasonably fast. Stopped working in about a day. Loaded driver from CD provided, worked more slowly for about another day, speed dropping gradually, then stopped, locking up PC. I'm not spending any more time with this.
