Hands down the best quality Shea butter I've ever used! I've bought Shea butter from the market ladies in Accra, and I've bought Shea butter from the street hawkers in Harlem, NYC. All claim to have high-quality stuff, but it's nothing compared to Nature by EJN. This is a super affordable price, and I guarantee you won't find higher quality Shea butter anywhere. Since it's so high quality, it doesn't have that strong, musty smell that some Shea butters have. It's worked wonders on my rough elbows, knees, and heels, as well as on my cuticles and hangnails. My hands and lips get so dry and chapped in cold weather, and this works wonders on those areas, too! It's helping my eczema as well!

The Shea Butter is great! I make body butter as I have severe eczema and I have severe reactions to most moisturizers. I have rubbed it on my skin to test it out and after 24-hours have had no side effects!! It did have a faint smoky smell , But all unrefined shea butter comes with a smoke smell some are just stronger than others. I know it has to do with the way it is made.

I have keratosis pilaris (aka chicken skin) and between this product and African soap, I've never had such soft skin. Both have calmed my 63-year old skin down to a remarkable degree. The red spots have disappeared and the inches of prickly, itchy skin, have turned softer and the itching has stopped. My non-affected skin is satiny in a way that commercial lotions have never been able give me. The shea butter requires some vigorous hand rubbing before it can be applied to my skin (please, can someone provide a recipe for "body butter"?), but once on, it melts into my skin and you can feel the protective barrier. For me, it lasts at least a couple of days. There is a mild scent - earthy with a faint whiff of cocoa - but once on the skin, the odor disappears. If I could, I would give this 10 stars, because I'd given up on ever having anything close to normal skin. Thank you to the producers of this magic!

For a long time I dealt with really agitated and easily irritated skin. Not only that, but it was excessively dry, almost to a point where even if I thought my face was moisturized, the minute I put on any makeup or something, you could see the dry flakes lifting. It aged me completely having dehydrated skin and I'm only 21, so you can imagine how distraught I was over that. I didn't know what to do, nothing was helping me and I was at my wits end. Not only that, but whatever I used just made problem worse.I had avoided "shea butter" from the stores because they were prone to breaking people out and I really didn't need any more of that, but I decided to look up organic, grade A shea butter as I was told it had little to no perserves and was cruelty free :^)I can't tell you how amazing it is. It had completely rid me of irritated little bumps on my forhead, fine lines have decreased and the moisture in my skin is now balanced – im no longer excessively oily and dry and even when I was my face, my face doesn't have this weird "cracking" feel to it. Its amazing. It has a very minimal gritty texture that melts into an oil with a heavenly scent. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!EDIT: Just adding to my review, but the product moisturizes for a full 12 hours and a little goes a long way! My experience is use of the product for a month. :^)

Came is as described. Excellent consistency. Soft and malleable. And not too strongly scented. A darker ivory in color.

Raw, organic and unrefined just as stated. Just what I expected.

My wife uses this to make her homemade lotions. She melts it down and adds her own ingredients. She said there wasn't anything out of the ordinary when filtering and straining it. No bugs or anything gross.The smell is normal for shea butter and smells like any we have used in the past. The price is the best we could find for the amount we needed. I hope this vendor continues supplying shea butter so we can repurchase in the future.
