Rose Valentine is perhaps best remembered for a record that had nothing to do with her! Casino DJ Richard Searling used her moniker to cover-up an unknown recording, at the time, that he christened 'When He's Not Around'. Years later it was revealed, by Ady Croasdell, that the mystery singer was actually Little Ann (Bridgeforth) from Chicacgo. The Bardot-esque, big-voiced, singer-actress Susan Barrett recorded the first of 3 albums aged just nineteen in 1959. However, her handful of 45s all failed to hit and here we feature her Northern Soul favourite 'What's It Gonna Be', also recorded by Dusty Springfield.
