Brilliant, Useful, Easy to Grasp
This book was required for a certification I'm working towards and I'm honestly so thankful. I don't say this about many books, but I plan to read this as often as I need to in order to keep the concepts fresh in my mind.I had never heard of brief coaching prior to this book. The authors break down each part so clearly and concisely. There are "experiments" included after every section and summaries of the main scripts used.If you're looking for a coaching method aimed at actually equipping clients with self-confidence & tools to work towards their goals (while maintaining your own boundaries).... Here it is.

indispensable for leaders and coaches
This is a super quick and almost seems too good to be true. I have been coaching in the corporate world for almost 20 years and I came across this recently. It added a set of tools to my practice that I had not really considered before reading it. I do think it may over-promise the results of the 'magical question.' So, try it out and practice, it's definitely worth the read.

Simple ways to empower the client
This little book is amazing. I'd like to read it through at least three times. It presents simple techniques that make a world of difference in helping clients to resolve problems. Following the guidence of this booklet, you will be able to empower clients and give them a chance they might never have considered possible. The book is as brief and straightforward as the method of coaching that it recommends. Just buy it!

A Must Read for Coaches
As the title suggests, the authors truly made--a complicated subject of coaching--very simple. Just like positive psychology it is focused on what works (or what might work) rather then what does not work (what caused the problem). Full of stories and practical examples, it is a must have resource for coaches and everyone willing to become one.Braco Pobric, author of Habits and Happiness: How to become happier and improve your wellbeing by changing your habits

Useful Problem solving techiniques.
This book explains useful technique that helps people tap in to their latent wisdom and logic by helping them focus on the problem and what they already know about it. It helps you separate the facts form the emotions surrounding a problem or obstacle in your career or your life.

Great book if your new to coaching people to success.
The book Coaching Plain & Simple by Peter Szabo and Daniel Meir will provide the reader with some simple techniques to become a business or personal development coach. Their concept of solution-focused brief coaching helps you move the client to a solution sooner than focusing on the problem. Watch my video book review for more on this book.[...]

Buy this book NOW.
Best book I've read on coaching in a decade. The title is right ... it focuses on the essentials. I have adapted their approach and am already seeing the shift to solutions versus analysis of the past. Much more positive. Much more effective.

useful and insightfulb
I read this book in Dec 2019 and today I revisited it and gained some new insights.Last time, I remembered 3 quotes that enlightened me.The oak seed has stored in itself all the necessary information to grow into a big strong tree.a caterpillar cannot reach its potential by taking flying lessons, but only by its development into a butterflyYou can not teach anybody anything. You can only help them to discover it in themselves. - Galileo GalileiThis time, I had a problem and I used the techniques to coach myself (really me being the coach and the client at the same time- “self-talk”) to find a solution. The 3 key steps of coaching arebe clear on the desired future (imagine you are already there),define the precursors (aware of what I am doing already and give myself a compliment),and also presupposing the progress. After the self-coaching, I became more aware of my goal, my progress, and also gained more confidence in having a better solution.Though this book is really thin (only 107 pages), I still recommend it for it contains some inspirational stuff that is key, brief, and inspirational. Anyone can read it and gain benefit and insight.

Offered no value
The write up about this book was almost a lie. It offered no value to me at all and I ended up skimming the book and putting at the very back of my bookcase.Save your money!

Only useful for coaching with coaches that are not experts
Only useful for coaching with coaches that are not experts. I'm a very experienced coach with a ton of success. I tried some ideas here and they simply were not that effective.
