Easily restores dull edges
I've used whetstones before but struggle to get the correct angle and technique; the minosharp seemed like a good compromise.Did an absolutely fantastic job on an old sabatier, which is now better than I ever remember it being!Didn't return my Global knife to as sharp as it was originally, although it's not far off, and it's better than I had been able to achieve using a block. When I need to replace I will certainly consider using the product with 3 wheels, as this might allow a finer edge on the Global?

Simple and very effective
I chose this after I bought a Tojiro Senkou 18cm Santoku and wanted something give it the sharpening it deserves. This certainly does that, restoring the blade to out-of-the-box sharpness with a few unforced strokes. It did similarly well with my other Japanese blade.Unlike the similar but smaller SH220 sharpener (which has an open handle instead of a closed loop) this one is also designed to work on European style blades, and it has improved the edges on my mixed collection of Victorinox, Lion Sabatier and Henckels knives. I haven't missed the third, coarsest wheel but it might be useful for rescuing a thoroughly blunt knife. This one is fine for me and comes highly recommended.

Sharpening Simplicity
After trying many and various sharpening devices, none of which being very good, I came upon the Minosharp water sharpener.I wish I'd had one for years. It really does work and it's very easy to use. Older, duller knives may take a little coaxing back into life but once you have a decent edge on them, they will only take a few strokes on each of the coarse and fine ceramic wheels to put the sharpness back. Indeed, if your knives are particularly dull there is a model available with three wheels, one of which being very coarse to sort out those neglected knives.I think they're a little pricey for what they are but at the end of the day they do the job very well.
