Baby Grand Acoustic Stompbox - electronic foot percussion

Solid wee unit, simple & attractive, makes a decent thump. First time I've used a stomp box - takes a wee bit of time (for me anyway) to learn how to relax and not speed up when playing in a noisy boisterous pub, Neil Peart once said "don't let your head get get in the way of your timing" - in other words just 'feel' it in here (he said pointing to his chest), it sounds corny but it totally works! The other thing is the height of your seating position makes a big difference to how well you connect with the box and how quickly and to what extent your calf/foot becomes fatigued, a high bar stool is a challenge, an adjustable drum throne might be a good addition to your gear if you don't mind the extra item to lug around.

The thump is there, if you are putting it through signal processing and a loud enough pa. Plugged into a typical amp it could easily be an irksome clicky, tappy noise. It needs stuff to get it into the right sound spectrum. But that's probably the same for all the stomp boxes. It's light, handy, robust.
