Joined 14AWG to 16AWG Perfectly
I had never used this product before, but had high expectations. I spliced 14AWG appliance wires, painted them with the product, let it set up halfway then wrapped the wires with regular electrical tape, applied the product again. Waited until I could touch the no longer sticky goo and form it around the wires to flatten it out. It hardened nicely without being too bulky while still being slightly flexible. Great solution to joining wires without a junction box.

Great For Certain Instances
I like to use liquid electrical tape in certain low voltage situations. It's great tor vehicle applications where uou just can't get your fingers in to wrap regular electrical "tape" around the wire. I also like it for insulating and waterproofing outdoor low voltage landscape lighting connections. First thing I do is throw away those inline connectors they provide. I've learned that they don't last long. I DO cut the supply line and twist it together with the lamps leads and the continuing voltage supply line. Then this is a way I've been doing it with NO ISSUES. I bought a 110v plug in little 3" round, 1" deep, metal pot that melts the solder and puts in a very hot molten form. I then flux the two twisted wire bundles, dip them in the molten solder, let cool, and THEN brush the bare ends with the liquid electrical tape.

You should have this in your garage.
No issues, this stuff is great.

Seems to work but hard to apply
This product creates a flexible layer which is useful and it might be easier to apply on bigger wires. I am usually using it on thin wires and the brush in this product is just too big to be used for it.Otherwise this product is useful and I can use a toothpick to apply it. But this is messy so you have to be careful applying it.
