Looks rather posh.
Going away and no where to charge my smart watch but something to count my steps and also tell the time. This is perfect for both.

Ideal watch with step count for non techies!
At under £30 this watch with step and calorie count functions is good value. My wife is a technophobe and draws the line at a smart phone, so it was interesting to see how she got on with it. She actually really liked the design and colour (Pink). She quickly read the initial instructions to activate it (you need to hold 2 buttons down to exit the SHIP mode which it arrives in to save the battery) and the watch immediately started to count her steps. At midnight it automatically resets the steps which works well to give her an idea of how active she has been each day. The time and date are easy to see and a quick tap one of the buttons makes the backlight come on. It has other functions too like stop watch and alarm etc, but she hasn't bothered using them.Negatives were: The pink fabric strap would soon get dirty over time (so maybe consider a darker coloured strap or get a different strap when it gets too dirty) and if you are looking for a slimline watch be aware that it is quite thick... 12mm.So if you are looking for something that is quick easy and intuitive to use and are not into gadgets, this is great.

Nice Watch / Pedometer
My daughter loves this and I like that it is not liked to her phone so doesn't give her the distraction of having messages, alerts and all the other consistent social media notifications coming through to her – nice! She swims and has swum with it on once so far and so far, so good on that front also – still working no screen fogging up etc. She doesn't seem interested in the calorie counting element to it which maybe adults would be more involved with that. Pedometer seems nice and accurate; she isn’t able to rack up several hundred steps in the morning without even leaving the house as she has been able to on her smart watch which she used to have before it broke. It is too large for her wrist in all honesty, but she seems to be fine with it and likes wearing it even to school. It feels well-made and chunky and if that is what you want in a watch/pedometer then I would recommend this for you.

Very fat profile
I have a couple of different smart watches, and wondered what a non smart watch/smartwatch would be like, so ordered one. It's a nice looking unit and comes with it's battery inside and the time set to the correct time, but in a sort of flight mode to save battery, which you have to turn off - once it's off (press two buttons at the same time - easy) the watch is functional. The battery is a CR2430 and is supposed to last a year. The watch is much thicker than my smart watches - presumably because of the battery inside - so it's not exactly 'slimline'.It's advertised as a woman's watch, but my black one is perfectly masculine and so I would say it's not just for women and therefore I dont know why it's advertised as such.Controls are fairly easy, and it's fairly attractive. The display is on all the time, unlike smart watches, which is nice, so in many ways it's more like a regular digital - old school - digital watch. Will I use it? yes, but I'd rather use my smartwatch as it has more functions; but this was of course a lot cheaper and if you dont fancy a bluetooth enabled watch, and are more 'old school' yourself, you'll probably enjoy it.

A fiddly start
I ordered this for my wife who wanted some way to track her steps during the day, so this seemed ideal. The real attraction was not requiring a phone nearby with Bluetooth.I was very close to giving this a one star rating, because it appeared to be faulty, despite following the instructions to exit SH 1P mode, then it suddenly kicked into life, showing the time and date etc. It's comfortable to wear and we do like the strap, though I find the loud beep with every button press a bit much.Reading through the instructions there are rather a lot of provisos given as reasons why the step count might not be accurate, such as pushing a trolley or wearing it on your dominant hand, so there are clear questions over the true accuracy, but I would say it gives you an approximate guide.

Very nice activity tracking watch that looks great and is comfy.
This looks good, has a soft stretchy strap and is comfy.I was very happy to have an activity watch that wasn't connected. No need to download an app. Noone getting all your personal info. This shows steps, distance, active calories burned (not personalised). There are 4 buttons on the rim. Main screen I've selected is day, date, time and steps walked.Click to see Active Calories consumed and distance walked. Click again to see yesterday's total steps walked.Switch to change home face display.Plus other features including alarm. Not tested waterproofness! Wearing every day. Simple, the info I need and looks good. Most cheaper fitness watches that have sleep and other features aren't accurate so limited value. I prefer this for simplicity and not having to use phone or app. You don't get a history of course, but I only need daily totals.Lovely good value watch. Only thing to note is if you have a small wrist, you have quite a long tag end which cannot be shortened. Have tucked this under and it's still comfy.

Love the closure
Even with limited dexterity, this was really easy to take on and off. I did need assistance to adjust the strap, but anyone with normal dexterity wouldn't have an issue. After a quick read of the manual, it was really easy to use. The night light is fantastic.Just from my own personal taste, though, I don't like that there are 3 different typefaces on the face of the watch. That's personal choice and not something I noticed until it was in my hands.
