A great item!
My husband and I each took one of these with us on a recent cruise and they were great to have along. We added a carabiner to each, then were able to clip the rolled up water bottle to our carry on bag. Once filled, we still clipped the bottles to a bag, or a belt loop. In the airport, we filled them up after going through security and had water while we waited and on the plane until beverage service began. On the ship we used them to carry water with us anywhere we were hanging out. We took off the tops and hung them from suction cup hooks in our room each evening to dry/air out. When arriving in ports we filled them prior to leaving the ship and had water while we wandered. Restaurants were very willing to refill them with ice and water for us everywhere we went.

Can get rid of the horrible taste - update, found the magic bullet
I've followed the vendors instructions and have even repeated the process. But, after a few hours the nasty chemical taste starts showing up. I've had this issue with plastic water containers, but it usually goes away with multiple uses, so I'm hoping this will be the case for these bottles as well. For air travel these are very nice, and the nasty taste is not an issue since its easy enough to refresh the water (at least on short flights). But, for hiking, school, car travel, or commute use unless the nasty taste goes away these bottles are not a good fit.UPDATE: This seems to work, If the vendors suggestions don't. Add a couple of spoonfuls of baking soda to the bottle and then top off with hot (not boiling) water. Let this set for several hours then rinse with COLD! water. Bottles I've treated this way have no taste even after leaving water in the bottle overnight at room temperature. You can also add lemon juice with the baking soda, but be warned it will foam for a few minutes so do this over a sink. I've found that the lemon addition will leave a bit of lemon taste after rinsing, but it goes away after a few uses.

Cool product, but first precondition thoroughly
There is a 48 hour process to precondition and maintain a fresh taste, that is not in the product description. I only washed it with dish washing liquid, which was not enough. But once properly precondition, the water tasted fine. Nice that it has a lifetime guarantee. Lastly, remember to dispose of any remaining water, should one need to pass thru a security check point to get to a connecting flight.UPDATE:I initially purchased the Nomader in Nov 2017. Around April 2018, the water in the bottle developed a weird chemical plastic taste. (I've only used bottled water in the Nomader.) I used all the cleaning methods on the Nomader website and even bought a new cleaning brush. The weird taste would go away, but would return when the water sat in the bottle for about 30 min. Nomader stands by their products, and I contacted them via email. I was surprised when they replied with a phone call.Long story short: They replaced my Nomader bottle. Great customer support. Big Thumbs Up!

Design outshines the others. Great for travel and hiking.
I was looking for a water bottle that was lightweight, sturdy and easy to transport when we travelled. I had bought a collapsible bottle a couple of years ago which was made of a clear polyethylene material and, although it was indeed light and folded very flat, it just didn't stand up very well. It was also not very easy to hold onto when filled with liquid. I read several of the reviews for the Nomader and people seemed to like it. For me, the design was what really made me choose it. There are several collapsible water bottles made of the same or similar materials. However, the design of the Nomader outshined the others. I also liked the color selections. I got a purple and an orange one for me and my husband. Now that I've used it for hiking and on a trip, I'm sooo glad I picked it. I walked all over New England and this bottle was with me everywhere. It is very sturdy, stands up on its own, holds hot and cold liquids, and you can add flavor packets or essential oils to it. (I like to put those True Lime and True Lemon packets in my water, or a drop or two of mint essential oil.) It can be a little tricky to roll up, but the bottle does collapse well enough to stick in the carry on going through airport security or in your backpack when it's empty. It doesn't get totally flat like that polyethylene bottle, but since I prefer being able to really use the bottle with liquids in it, I don't mind that it's not totally flat one bit. I really like the strap, too, which was a selling point for me. I went to the sporting goods store and got a little S-Hook and attached that to the strap so I can hook it on my luggage or my fanny pack when hiking. I also like it that the strap will wrap around my wrist. Another reason I got this one, and like it, is the plastic sleeve. Although the bottle certainly stands up on its own, the sleeve adds more stability and also acts as a barrier if your liquid is hot or cold. If I were to suggest improvements, it would be to make the cap a bit easier to flip up an down and snap closed. Because the design of the cap needs to be screwed down to keep it from leaking, it means you have to unscrew it to open it. I would like to be able to flip it up and down with a snap. However, I have found this is a minor inconvenience and the rest of the design outweighs that. It's great to travel with, and easily slides in the pocket on the back of airline seats. I even was able to wedge it between my seat and the airplane wall, when sitting at a window spot. That's not possible with those hard bottles. On the whole, I highly recommend this bottle. Finally, the customer service is excellent. If you get this, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the product one bit.

A versatile, flexible choice that can be rolled up and taken just about anywhere with you
At the end of the day, the Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle is a flexible option for air travel or any on-the-go individual. However, our few gripes, including it’s lack of insulation and relatively easy build up of dirt, take a toll. On the other hand, we’ve found the carry strap to be super helpful for full hands and quick grabs, and one of our favorite features is its ability to roll-up and pack away quickly.Pros:- The carry strap is incredibly useful when on-the-go.- Flexible roll-up ability for air travel and more.- We haven’t seen one drop leak out of this water bottle yet. Score!Cons:- No insulation = no keeping your beverage hot or cold.- Silicone exterior easily picks up dirt.- A tad difficult to clean out—make sure to get a brush to thoroughly clean the inside!Full review on Pack Hacker.

Great dive bag addition
To survive being lumped in with dive gear, and when stored in a bag on a busy dive boat I needed a bottle that would survive the rigours of this requirement and survive in this environment. The Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle is superb, is it genuinely leak free (the locking screw top is genius), it is easy to collapse, sturdy enough to drink from thanks to the reinforcing ring.Overall I'm very pleased with this product, and I've only deducted one star due to noticeable plasticky taste from the bottle that hasn't dissipated despite repeatedly filling the bottle with hot water, and slices of lemon. However, as I tend to drink squash this masks the taste and means this isn't a major problem for me, but could be a show stopper for others

Just what I was looking for
Just what I was looking for. If I'm going to the gym or doing roller derby my bag is usually full to bursting, so being able to roll this bottle up and fill it once I'm at a water fountain has been great. It's very flexible so have had a few mishaps attempting to replace the lid after filling it up, but the very top of the bottle is sturdy enough to grip when screwing the lid back on.The only slight annoyance I've had is that the securing strap is a little too long. If I rolled mine up as tight as the one in the product pictures it would fall right off and the bottle would unravel. This just means I roll it a little looser than that and don't squeeze all the air out. Hardly a downside, but possibly worth mentioning. It still gets 5 stars from me.

Good collapsible water bottle
Purchased this bottle as the reviews were good, and a case of when traveling, space really does matter and collapsible water bottles seem to be all the range.Nice sturdy bottle with a rubber-y feel to it, with a good solid lid to it and screw cap.Only "issue" I can see though is when rolled up, its still a little of what I would consider on the "bulky" side, also the locking mechanism does feel like its a little on the "flimsy" side, and I suspect it will break eventually (this seems to be the common comment when you read reviews and watch review videos), but comes with a warranty and even without that, you still get a good lightweight bottle if you simply remove the locking part of it.

Very good bottle though after a while makes water taste rubbery...
Very good design, it remains stable when drinking from it, and packs up to store. It's very light, so it doesn't feel much of a burden to carry if you're trying to break the habit of using disposable plastic bottles. The cap secures tightly and hasn't leaked at all, and is a good width to drink from. Usefully, it can also hold hot water, which was great on a recent freezing cold scuba trip. On my downside is that now after several weeks of use, it makes the water taste rubbery. I've tried rinsing it and soaking it overnight but nothing has helped. Would probably be fine for flavoured drinks though.

Reliable, leakproof travel companion, had this a few weeks now and love it!
Bought a pair of these as we love walking and need a reliable way to carry drinks. These looked functional, and modern without too many fancy gadgets - The product has proven reliable, useful, and leakproof... there is little more to add! the only grumble - could we have a long straw so to screw into the top to allow drinking on the go... that would make this awesome!
