400W Watt RICA Type 2597 Electric Heating Element for Heated Towel Rails & Radiators

Very quick delivery although packaging wasn't the best with very little protection. Fitted easily into my 800 x 500 towel rail. Wired into a wifi controller and works very well providing plenty of heat. Sprayed with RAL7016 paint to match the towel rail and all other units in our cloakroom. Highly recommended, just hope it lasts. Thanks.

I was initially pleased with this heating element. Easy to fit (if you know a bit of plumbing) and worked well. However I'm disappointed that the element has corroded and failed after less than two years. It now trips the circuit breaker whenever it's switched on due to corroding. So it now needs replacing. I make sure there is plenty of corrosion inhibitor in the system so it shouldn't have failed. Only 2 years is a very poor life span for this sort of thing.

Unfortunately the element was faulty and has been returned, awaiting a refund. Element does not look like the image and does not have type on the element. This element must have escaped the testing before being dispatched, which I was told happened and was told to check the switch fuse etc. which of course my corgi registered plumber did. A little disappointed.

Looks good and rail itself appears to be good quality. The fixings not so good - one was fused/seized so tight that I abandoned it and used 3 fixings rather than 4
