Excellent for dosas
Excellent tawa and a beautiful design. The wooden handle makes it very convenient to use the taea while hot, when compared with some designs which have an iron handle/ no handle.The rough surface texture actually means that dosas do not stick to the surface and detach automatically when cooked. I have another cast iron tawa with a smooth surface and when I use them side by side, I find it significantly easier to peel off the dosa from this one. I learned that oiling the surface and cooking on a low flame are key to avoiding sticking.

Not really pre seasoned
This one worked beautifully for parathas which is what I tried first.But then it failed with pancakes. Everything was a stuck mess.I seasoned it the correct way for a full 40 minutes yesterday. I hope it'll work now.But it definitely was NOT pre seasoned.

All benefits of cast iron, slightly lesser weight
Have been usingbthe tawa for a few days now. It is preseasoned. Even the first dosa came out perfect, though I discarded it. Heats evenly and makes great dosas. Good quality wooden handle. Overall very satisfied.Note; don't wash it, just wipe with paper/cloth

Heavy but good
The product is very heavy as it is made of cast iron. The quality is good and making dosa and Uttapam is very easy using the product.

Bad odour
The food cooked and kept in it even for a minute starts stinking. Cannot be eaten.

Very good purchase
It's heavy itself. Dosa comes out very well. It depends on seasoning. I accidentally kept the tawa on the stove and forgot to switch it off and got a grey spot in the middle due to overheating. But I was able to restore it within 3 days by seasoning it well. I can tell it's a very good purchase and you can buy without any hesitation. Very happy with the design of the tawa.
