I recently purchased the Samsung 256GB SD card from Amazon, and I am extremely pleased with its performance and storage capacity. This review is based on my experience using the card with my DSLR camera and other devices.First and foremost, the storage capacity of 256GB is truly remarkable. Having sent back 2 other cards this one worked in my tapo cameras, no issues and worth spending a little extra.

I got two of these cards and mine appear to be genuine. Looked at a few articles explaining how to spot fakes and no red flags on mine. Tried with three devices and all recognised the cards. Copied over 70GB of pictures from my old card and phone memory and so far so good.It's not the fastest card out there. Copying that 70GB onto the card from my hard drive took around 40 mins. Might be my card reader though, not sure. Only had to do it once so not a big deal for me. I put one card in my Samsung A52 and the other in my wife's new A53. Both are working well for photos and 4k video. No problems so far in terms of performance.One thing that surprised me a bit is the fact that the cards do not have all 256GB available for storage. At first, I thought of returning them as I feel it's a bit of a misleading tactic. Both cards show 239GB to be available only after formatting. Not sure if this is only a tactic used by Samsung or not as my old 64GB Sandisk card was showing 63.9GB. A bit surprised to lose a whole 17GB to bit/byte rounding.Why I did not send it back? For the price I paid, I will live without having that 17GB available as it will not make a material difference for me.

Great Product

I got two of these Samsung EVO Select 512GB microSD cards, and they work flawlessly with my Steam Deck. The speed is great, handling game loads and 4K media without issues. Reliable, fast, and comes with an SD adapter—great value for the price!

Great quality product as you would expect from Samsung. Excellent memory capacity, no issues with compatability, storing on or reading of card. Good value for money.

Used both in my phone and Steam Deck- they work excellently for the application. Can run Forza Horizon 5 very well- which I suppose is more dependent on the Deck itself and not the SD card- anyway yes holds files well. 10/10
