but these bulbs are still excellent. A great price
For stars because of the warm up time, but these bulbs are still excellent. A great price. Almost every bulb in my home is now one of these LED bulbs. Buy them, you will be pleased.

Take too long to reach full brightness
I so wanted to like these bulbs. I put 6 of them in a bathroom. I was cutting 240 watts electricity consumption down to 84 watts. The 800 lumens each was to be the same as the 60w incandescent bulbs I replaced. The 2700k color was exactly the same as the incandescent. Yeah! But when I turned them on they were dim (VERY DIM). I thought to myself, it's okay it only takes a minute or so to get to full brightness the lights are usually on far longer than that--no big deal. So I lived with them for a week, but it's just too annoying. They come on SO DIM. It's like 20% or even lower. Within 30 seconds it's probably 50% or higher and in a minute or two they're every bit as bright as the 60w incandescents they replaced, but it turned out to be really annoying. I have used lots of fluorescent bulbs and although some, like these, take time to get to full brightness I have always been able to find an alternative that was far faster (instantly or indistinguishable from instantly fully bright). So I won't use these. Maybe I can find a use for them somewhere, but all my spiral CFL's are faster.I replaced them with an outstanding alternative (that uses even less electricity--59 watts in my case for 6 bulbs altogether): TCP LA1027KND6 LED A19 - 60 Watt Equivalent (10W) Soft White (2700K) Light Bulb - 6 Pack. These like the CFL's are not dimmable, but they light instantly and look just like the incandescent bulbs. I paid $35 more altogether because the LED are more expensive. It is so worth thought not to have to have a coronary every time DW and DD leave the lights on long after they have left the room.

Great buy!
These are florescent light bulbs, which means they take about 10 seconds to really light up. But they do a fantastic job and the price is right. This technology is being replaced by LED bulbs, so get them while they are cheap.
