Canon IVY Mini Photo Printer for Smartphones (Rose Gold) - Sticky-back prints, Pocket-size

I bought this so we could bring it camping and put pix in our travel book to records our adventures. I did a lot of research first. Finally picked this one.Pros:-prints look really good (see below for troubleshooting)-the software is easy to use and make some really solid edits on the pictures. I edit almost every photo- you’ll get a sense as you print more what edits improve the final photo.-adding text or stickers (which I rarely do) is easy. And you can change color, rotate, enlarge, etc easily. Very flexible.-I only use the rectangle picture stickers but it can do small round ones. The pictures stick really well. They feel solid- not flimsy.-small size is super easy to carry with me.Cons:-you can get small lines on some prints. I found that by carefully taking the paper out (don’t touch anything but the edges) and pressing them flatter, this helps. Also some of the editing might help too.-sometimes the paper get curled and won’t pass through the printer. Do the above and it works. Or sometimes I’ll turn the unit upside down and it prints.

I absolutely love this! It came same day as ordered. The printer comes with a pack of 10 sheets. I chose the bundle so I got an additional 50 sheets and 20 sheets of the peel & stick circle stickers! The device does need to be charged straight out of the box. It comes with a mini usb charger. It does not have the base but you should be able to use the one from your phone or plug it into the usb port on your computer for charging. It took less than an hour to charge. You know it’s ready when the light goes from red to green! The sheets are easy to load and must be loaded with the blue barcode paper on the bottom. I downloaded the app and tested it out by using a pic that was already in my phone gallery. It doesn’t print immediately, instead it holds the pictures you choose in a “printer queue” until you select the pictures you are ready to print. The color quality was good overall. Just a little bit more blue & pink hues than I would have liked. It took about 30 seconds to print out. I am a football mom and this will be perfect for the headshots I need of the boys during registration!

Summer of 2022 decided to take family road trips, purchased my daughters first scrapbook and she took her Instax mini 9 camera on our first outing. Was very disappointed in the quality of the prints and felt bad all her photos taken inside /outside were washed out or too dark to tell what was in the image. She enjoyed the concept of it but would upset her when she waisted so many pictures due to how expensive the film is. Was planning to buy her more film or a different camera and luckily stumbled across the idea of just getting a mini printer to connect to our cell phone pictures instead. After looking at reviews and quality of photos I knew the Canon ivy mini printer was the way to go!. I have a professional canon camera and trust their quality.I knew the photos would be tiny but once I saw how tiny they were in person I was nervous the pictures wouldn’t be the best. My worries quickly faded as soon as the first picture printed. So happy I found and purchased this mini printer for our family road-trip! Will make adding memories to scrapbook easier as we travel through the states.The 2x3 size is small but you don’t lose image quality in these prints and looks like they will hold up over time like regular in store prints. Will update if the quality changes over time, etc. excited that other reported sink paper was interchangeable with the correct blue card. Purchased additional paper and hope the quality doesn’t change by using a different brand.Canon Ivy mini prints end up being more expensive than store prints by a few cents, and technically would be getting larger at 4x6 instead of a 2x3. However, being able to instantly print photos from your phone and start journaling/scrapbooking as you travel is priceless!!Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend to those that love taking pictures as much as I do!!!

I got this for Tarot journaling from the advice of Lisa Papez. It saves me so much time vs my previous method of scanning my cards, resizing them, tiling them in a page that fits normal print paper, and printing them out on my canon mx922 (which I love by the way). It takes me seconds instead of 15 mins.The print quality is surprisingly good for the price of the device and not even having ink cartridges, so I was really impressed with that aspect.My one gripe is the app could use some patches. It crashes on me, sometimes doesn't register I've sent something to the print queue, and I really hate that while trying to even connect the printer sometimes, the printer powers off too fast from time out. Hopefully this is something canon works on in the future since this app is used for multiple products, including newer models than this one.

I have been searching for a mini printer for so long and this mini printer is perfect. I used this for a graduation party. I took photos at the event and then gave the prints to grandmothers at breakfast the next day. They were delighted!! It would be perfect as a photo booth alternative for parties. I tried the poloroid-type cameras and was very diappointed in them for the quality of the photo and ease of use. This little printer has bluetooth that you just pair with your phone, select the photo you want to print and it prints in just a few seconds. The app is very easy to install and use. It does use a lot of battery/memory on my phone so I uninstall it when not in use. You can zoom, crop and make captions or stickers for the photos. The paper is easy to load. The photos print as stickers. The backing is easy to peel off the entire back or just the corners. The photos are pretty good quality. They do fade a little bit over time. I have printed about 100 photos and it is still working fine. Each photo ends up costing about 50 cents not including the cost of the printer itself. I am very happy with the purchase.
