Origin Point Garden Craft Single Shepherd Hook, 84-Inch, Black

I'd give this 5 stars, except for the price. We needed a very tall hook to use with the Brome Squirrel Buster Classic bird feeder, and this fit the bill. One was available for a lot less money on Amazon, but currently only in White, and we wanted Black. Could have waited for the Black, but didn't want to wait, so paid extra. That's fine, it's just a bit pricey.

Bought to hang a bird feeder on. It is strong enough for this, but I would not hang anythingheavier than that on it. Only complaint is it had a large, white tag stuck to it. When removed, much of the tag remained stuck to the pole...the adhesive that they used was much more effective than needed. I had to use adhesive remover because the remaining sticker really looked bad.

Love the price, the size... noticed after a couple weeks they are leaning and I have to go or once in awhile to stand them up straight again. They're fully passed into the ground, they just don't do well holding my heavy bird feeders and will eventually start to lean. I'm glad I didn't use these for bird houses.

I used it to hold a finch feeder at out cabin in the woods. It lasted two days. We awoke in the morning to find it bent nearly to the ground and the feeder crushed. We suspect that a coon must have been the culprit. I would not have believed that a 30-40 pound coon could climb and bend the pole. I could straighten it up by hand that is how easy it is to bend it!

I ordered one and received two. The shepherd hook I tried in the backyard was a very, very poor product. Attractive to look at but unbelievably flimsy. It could not even hold a 5 pound planter without bowing. Amazon was fantastic and let me return both hooks. If the manufacturer kept the exact same look and used a much heavier duty material, they would have a winner, and I would purchase a dozen. Such a shame.

The length from the top of the hook to the ground is about 6 feet, the hook that hangs the object is about 8 inches lower. The rod is about 1/2" or 3/8" steel, it is capable of holding at least 12 lbs. I would feel comfortable with putting 20lbs on it before it would start bending over.I'm using it as a target stand for a steel hanger target. Works great!

Too light weight.

This is nice and sturdy. We have it zip tied to my balcony to hold my humming bird feeder. Box came all messed up but the product was fine so I didn't worry about it. Great way to add hanging space when you can make holes! I will probably get a couple more smaller ones for the pots I have to add some more plants.

I was disappointed when it came in and it was a 48 inch hook and not the 84 like I thought I was ordering. I will keep it and find something to hang off of it. It is not worth the trouble to send the item back so be warned it is not 84 inches high like the ad says.

I was a little afraid of buying this item because at 16.99CAD$ it seem too good to be true. I have to say I was surprised that the quality seemed to match those selling for five times the price. Looks exactly as pictured. I find it sturdy enough, like any other product of this kind I have seen in store.

The pole was used to hold a bird feeder. It is seemingly solid enough, yet when you hang a feeder full of food, it tends to bend with the weight and wind.

Even the squirrels love it! Can't believe they shipped this one piece unit to me for free. Worked like a charm.

Perfect. Used it for bird feeder and is the perfect height in our front window.
