These are great quality vanilla beans. As soon as I opened the package you could smell the aroma of vanilla. They came vacuum sealed and fresh. I used these to make vanilla bean paste and it tastes amazing. I will def buy these again!

These are very plump and nice looking. They will make very good vanilla extract. Keep in mind you will want to use a 100% vodka when making this and add 5-6 beans per 8oz of vodka. I use Smirnoff or New Amsterdam 100% very effective and great flavor.

Beans were skinny and smelled weird...like some sort of plastic or chemicals. Vanilla fragrance was markedly absent. Planning to make Vanilla extract and also bought some Madagascar beans. The difference was night and day. You could smell the Vanilla through that package and those beans were plump and moist. Went ahead and put both to steep in separate jars of vodka. Can already tell which is going to be the better batch but will cross my fingers and hope to be wrong. Put both batches in the blender and gave them a good puree so they should get good contact and maximum chance to do their best. Both liquids have a rich brown color and the better beans made my kitchen smell fantastic! Hopefully these Tahitian beans will prove themselves in the long run. Gave two stars instead of one simply because they had some other good reviews and they were affordable. Update: The beans have been steeping for several weeks now. The vodka has taken on a rich brown color and the vanilla scent is blooming faster than the jar of Madagascar beans. I am pleased and surprised. Increasing my rating!
