Great craftsmanship
Fits 124 perfectly. The design of the sheath is smart. Can carry it anywhere on the belt and have quick access. The strap to hold it in is removable. Don't really need it because of the snug fit. Well designed.

Another great leather knife sheath from Carl J. Thomas, Jr.
This is my second purchase from Carl J. Thomas, Jr.. This is a high quality, strong and sturdy leather sheath - just like the first one I purchased for an Ontario Rat 5 that I carry daily when working on the farm/vineyard/orchards.This is my second sheath purchased from this artisan company for my Buck 124 Frontiersman. While the Buck sheath that comes with the Frontiersman is really good quality and made in the USA, it is standard cary and not cross draw. A cross draw carry sheath allows you to easily carry a long 12 inch knife like the Frontiersman either appendix or on the side or in the small of the back. Very versatile. Wish I had gotten this sheath sooner. I carry the Frontiersman hiking and hunting and this cross draw knife sheath makes it easy to carry a large knife like the Buck 124 Frontiersman and not get in the way of my other carry gear.As long as Carl J. Thomas, Jr. makes a sheath for one of my fixed blade knives - I will always get this brand. Wish they would make a belt carry sheath for my Leatherman Surge! Highly recommended for versatile carry of the Buck 124 Frontiersman.

High quality sheath that fits my Buck 124 perfectly.
High quality sheath that fits my Buck 124 perfectly. Beautiful attention to detail, and leather is first rate. Knife blade fits like a glove, no sloppiness, no wobble, and snap works excellent ergonomically. Package included a personalized note. Very nice!

Buy these, you'll be happy.
I purchased a sheath for both my 124 and my 119. I cannot rate these highly enough. The description is accurate, the sheaths are exactly as described. Both knives fit perfectly. I've a lot of experience with horsehide holsters and gun belts, so water buffalo was intriguing. Fitment is crucial in that domain, and I hoped these sheaths would meet the same standard. They do. Buy these.FWIW, when wearing them, I use my forefinger to undue the retaining strap not my thumb of my dominant hand when drawing one-handed. So not like a pistol holster, should you even have a retaining strap on your pistol holster.

Knife fit is very tight. My Buck 124 went right through the leather and cut my finger.
Craftsmanship of the leather work was great. But, there was no room for the blade and it cut right through the leather with no problem, making the sheath useless.

Great Knife Sheath Excellent Quality Pros & Cons
This knife sheath was a great addition to my Buck 124 frontiersman as it offered exceptional quality, comfort, and just a great sheath overall. I was skeptical at first when seeing their purchasing page, and the images they provided as reference for the sheath. It did not seem like a high-quality leather sheath for my knife, but regardless I decided to make the purchase, and was pleased with it. I will mention a few pros and cons to accompany my review below.Pros:- Leather is exceptional quality- Stitching has not yet loosened with constant wear- Metal buttons maintain their strength to keep the knife secure- Fits a Buck 124 Frontiersman perfectlyCons- Although exceptional quality little leather glue residue can be found within folds- Very stiff, but is expected with all genuine leather products until broken in- After some use and breaking and time the interior held by leather glue may begin to loosen (can be fixed)Overall, the knife sheath is very well made and of course with constant wear and tear it will deteriorate like all things, just make sure you take proper care and it could last you a long time.Hope this helps
