Just the job and no nasty chemicals
I love these bug repellant incense sticks. They smell nice when lit and have only essential oil ingredients in them. A stick probably lasts about 40 mins on a still evening and they immediately do their job as soon as you light one, midges and mozzies clear off immediately.Definitely recommend.

Smell Lovely in the Box, But Stink of Burning Paper When Lit
These citronella incense sticks certainly looked promising, as they're made from all natural products and don't contain any nasty chemicals. In my windy garden, they don't last an hour, more like half an hour, but it does say this in the description. On a still, calm evening, they might burn for longer. Before burning, the aroma is heavenly. It's lemony and delicious. However, once they're lit, they smell awful, like burnt paper. They're designed to deter biting insects, so does the aroma matter? Well the makers also claim they provide a relaxing fragrance for meditation and yoga. They are made from 90% sawdust, so it's perhaps not surprising that they stink of paper when they're burning.I can't say if they keep the mosquitoes away just yet. Whether it's the wet spring or the decimation of our insect populations, there really haven't been any around. That may change as the summer continues, and I am prone to being bitten all over. It's reassuring to have something that might keep them away from me on warm summer evenings, and I do use citronella candles too. It's a shame that they smell so awful, because if they don't work, at least there would be a pleasant aroma in the air. As it is, I'll continue to try and test them, and if I'm not bitten, then I'll know if they're really worth it.

On the box: "WARNING: Only for Outdoor use!" Keep children and pets away from burning stick
What you see in their product listing photos is what you get.First, let's clear up some confusion, they say in their listing for 'indoor outdoor use' yet on the packet there is a clear "WARNING: Only for outdoor use!" Also, "Keep children and pets away from a burning incense stick", so, no good for parties or camping trips! They pictures of children in their listing, they should maybe remove them? They suggest they can be used in kids bedrooms... Really? Indoors? They say it lasts 40-45 minutes, so in an evening when you are burning 4 at a time (I guess that is the 'trap' - to have one in each corner??), that equals 16 or more of these.... So a box will last less then 10 nights...Not sure why they call this 'TRAP IT' - where is the trap - there is no trap, so that is improper description. (I really think there should be some kind of certification that is required for all these little brands who fling stuff on Amazon without getting their translations checked, their marketing message aligned with the product they are offering, and their photos verified as real and not PHOTOSHOPPED. Customers are not stupid, they can see right through it all the guff, and because there is so much of it on here, there is eroding trust for 'all things Chinese', so they are doing their countrymen a disservice). This product needs to change its product name because 'TRAP IT' is misleading. It also needs to correct all the errors and remove the photos in the listing because it is sooooo ambiguous. I can't recommend this.

Big box of incense sticks, but not the typical citronella smell
Where we live we can get midges in the evening and when the weather is warm, still & muggy.I've given these a try and they seem to work, but you need to place several around you (in the ground is easiest), and I found they lasted only about 40mins (in theory they should last 1 hour with still weather). The citronella smell doesn't seem to be so strong, it's more of a burning wood smell.Although they're ok and seem to work, I personally prefer citronella candles as the smell is stronger and you can just leave them burning without having to remember to relight them every 40mins.Value for money is so-so.

Excellent for repelling the mosquitoes
These sticks really work. Not only do they smell nice (I haven't used citronella sticks since I was a kid, so they carry a certain element of nostalgia for me), but they're one of the only things I've found that actually do drive away mosquitoes, as they're claimed to.You get a lot of incense sticks in the bundle, and each burns for a good 30-40 minutes, so there should be ample here to get me through the summer months.

Great Smell
I am allergic to insect bites so I 100% need everything I can get my hands on to get rid of the critters. I regularly use citronella candles and these incense sticks add another layer of protection against my fight to get bitten. Easy to light, then just put into the grass/soil/plant pot and away you go. I lined 3 outside my patio doors, I love the smell. Each one burns for 35/40 minutes. Do they work? I definitely think they help. Citronella has long been used to ward off all the bitey insects. Add in the candles and the insect repellent sprays I always use and I’m ready for summer.

Mozzy repellant incense sticks | Expensive & smell awful
I'm a bit disappointed and apathetic now that I have these incense sticks. I'm a big fan of incense in general, especially in the summer, but I almost always choose a certain well-known brand when I buy. And, I generally avoid sawdust-dominant sticks that burn to a white ash.Sadly, these are the latter form and have an aroma that smells like burning wood rather than anything citrussy. As a result, I reckon the deterrent is simply that nothing wants to fly into a fire!Worryingly, the source ofthe sawdust; ie. the type oftree/wood used; has not been listed so one has to 'hope' rather than 'know' that it is a non-toxic wood source.Any aroma of citronella is faint and seems to be noticeable only within the packet bundles and not when burning. The ONLY aroma whenburning is that of burning wood.£15 for 120 sticks is too much money for something that smells so unpleasant. I'll be going back to my known branded Sandlawood incense instead
