Pays for itself many times over.
I have almost completely switched over to these for my battery needs. The cost considerably more to start but pays you back many times over while helping the environment.Only downside is that, due to the lower starting voltage, some devices will indicate a low battery fresh off the charger. This is a fault of the device, not the battery. These batteries last MUCH longer than alkalines, just ignore the low battery warnings.These are the original low self discharge rechargeables. I only buy Eneloops, they are worth the extra money and will pay you back many times over.

Best, most reliable rechargeable batteries
Eneloop is generally more expensive but they are one of the best for a reason. They do hold charge longer when in storage, and in general seek to maintain their capacity longer than other rechargeables I've obtained on Amazon. I have older Eneloop batteries that are years older and seem to last just as long as newer other branded rechargeables.

Reasonably priced and pre-charged.
I picked these batteries because I've used the AA size and have found them to be the best NiMH batteries I've tried. The AA's hold a charge well, even in storage and last a long time. I have no reason to believe these won't be every bit as good as they are, but if I do find any problems I will post an update to this review. Again, based on my experience with the AA's from this company, they are an excellent value for the price.

The best rechargable batteries
I own dozens and dozens of eneloop batteries. The initial price is a bit high but when you think about how much you save by recharging them a few times, buying the next package is easy to justify. They have largely replaced alkalines in my house because they run well, they don't leak and ruin things, I never run out of batteries, and I'm keeping used alkalines out of the landfill.The off-brand, no-name, made in china rechargable batteries on Amazon don't compare. Buy the eneloops.

Good batteries but with a slight flaw
Yes, these batteries work but when I put them in a PC mouse and they didn't work. I played around with them and got them to work but not reliably. I cannot explain why they won't work in all battery compartments but I suspect it has something to do with the way the positive tip is set into the battery case. The positive terminal wasn't making a secure connection. They will work in most battery compartments but not all.
