This is an amazing tool to have and use, being able to check power and ground without switching leads, and being able to test small electrical motors and switches quickly is much more convenient. Love the probe. Screen is clear and easy to read very bright. Testing items in place, bench testing, Powering Motors, testing continuity, testing grounds circuits, checking ohm readings, so many things that you can do with it. I do a lot of electrical troubleshooting and I need to find out if certain wires are getting voltage, how much they are getting or even if it is grounded. This probe does wonders and completely replaced my more basic test light probe. The ability to inject positive voltage or ground into a test circuit is fantastic, along with the AC graphing ability and the diode test function make this a complete test tool. The 20' lead is great and it comes with an additional 20' extension which great. This is an excellent tool for the price. got this to replace a power probe 3 that quit working. this is a very good option for replacement as it has the tracer and back probe kit for a better value, this seems to be accurate in voltage measurement and display is large and colorful and the beeper will tell you whether you have power or ground with tones. this also has the a/c measurement and resistance that the power probe 3 doesn't. seems to be well built and doesn't feel cheap. It is super good quality lead and lots of length which is super nice working in the back of the car! The display and multi function is great and saves many trips back to the tools box to get a meter! The cable that this probe comes with is very flexible, even at low temperatures, and does not tangle easily, display is clear to read under all light conditions, battery clamps on this probe are better than what I had expected, the 12V cigarette lighter plug is a bonus. This probe has replaced all my other test lights and voltage probes. It is very user friendly with toggle of switch to perform most functions. The screen has nice big writing and lights up nicely to where you can see in the darkest of areas in a vehicle. I would recommend this probe to the novice and pro mechanic alike, this thing can make diagnosing common vehicle electrical issues a breeze. This is powered from the battery voltage of the circuit you are testing so no internal batteries are needed. To use you just clip the alligator clips to the source battery or use 12-Volt Adapter and DC Voltage immediately shows on the backlit colored LCD screen. Overall I like this Vehicle Circuit Probe Kit very much, this type of tester should be part of any mechanic's tools, If I experience any issues I will update this review.

I have always wanted a power probe style tool but didn't want to pay the price for the name brand. So I took a shot on this one. It works fabulously! I found the back probe set incredibly useful in hard wiring my radar detector to my vehicle. It made the job so much easier (and safer) than trying to use standard leads or cutting into harness wire insulation to identify switched power. I was able to confirm ground, power, and switched power all without any risk to my vehicle or radar detector and without disturbing anything. Think of this tool as a hand and time saver. So many times a project requires a helper to hold or do something. With this thing you can inject power OR GROUND directly from the tool's probe - and that saves immense time. Also, it comes with LONG power leads (and an additional 20 foot extension too!) and so I will definitely be using this tool soon to figure out my boat trailer lights, which never all seem to be working at the same time. I'll simply inject power or ground directly at the trailer light assembly to quickly see which lead is bad. Finally, the circuit break detector was VERY helpful in identifying WHERE in a harness a single wire had broken on a expensive coil assembly. This breaker finder saved me from having to tear off the entire harness to find the wire break. If you can swing the extra money, I REALLY recommend the "pro" kit with the added probes - it just makes life easy and safer. About my only complaint is the clear rubber covers for the (very sharp) needle probes don't have a retainer. Be careful where you put them as they'll get lost easily once taken off the needle tip during use. Otherwise this kit is outstanding.

I recently purchased the VDIAGTOOL V200 Pro to help with the install of hard-wired dash camera kit. (If you don’t have a dash cam – get one! Hard wiring it to you battery cleaner than plugging it into cigarette lighter/power plug, and pretty simple with a hard wire kit that replaces one of the “always on” fuses). The V200 circuit tester allowed me to find quickly find out which fuses had constant power from the battery and which fuses are only energized with the key to the on position. The tool provides auditory and visual indications, and the screen tells you exactly the voltage of the system – see picture. (You can also use the tool to check the voltage of the battery quite easily). I’m only at a DIY level but will likely be using this tool again to fix the wiring on my dad’s utility trailer. Besides testing circuits, the tool is also capable of diagnosing electrical shorts, open circuits, parasitic draw, etc etc. The tool has four modes Luckily, I don’t have to use any of the advanced functions yet but good to know that it’s there. The whole kit is pretty comprehensive and more than I need for my current project as VDiagtool offers simpler/cheaper kits, but I’d rather purchase a comprehensive kit and have additional capabilities in case I need them in the future. The Pro kit has several different connectors, a cigarette lighter adapter (can be powered by the battery or the cigarette lighter/power adapter) and has a 20-foot power cord to reach the front or the rear of your vehicle. The instruction manual is simple and straightforward (allowed me to use it to find always on fuses). However, the using advanced features are not explained in the manual...if you know how to use them I'm sure it is intuitive enough or seek youtube/internet for answers. The case is compact and efficient, you’ll have to carefully rewrap all components to get everything put back in to close the case. Good build quality and should last as long as you don’t throw it around/abuse it. The build quality of the testers is solid and does not feel cheap and flimsy. Audio, screen, and lights are clear and useful. The connections fit tightly together and won’t fall apart. BL – this tester exceeded my expectations and helped me save money with DIY projects.

Brilliant bit of kit.. the oscilloscope function is pretty good for basic signal tests ie: PWM. Really impressed with it. Would definitely recommend.

This is my first circuit tester, and I’m absolutely amazed by what it can do! Right out of the box, I was impressed with the packaging—it was neatly packed with foam inside the case to prevent any movement or damage during shipping. One of the first things I noticed was that it comes with a variety of test leads, which adds a lot of versatility. It hooks up easily to a car battery or cigarette lighter outlet for power, and it even includes an extra extension, which is a great bonus. Using this tool, I was able to test the voltage on any wire I poked, giving me instant and accurate readings. I also checked the voltage levels on different wires, and it helped me pinpoint where open shorts were located. Honestly, I have no idea why I didn’t get one of these sooner—it would have saved me so much time on past projects! These are one of the best tools I’ve ever used. I used it to check if there was any wiring problems in my minivan. It helped me detect the exact location of trouble on wire . It came with so many accessories. I can use it for so much - checking voltage, electricity, battery levels component amper , wiring issues, and much more. It comes with so many different plug types. The wiring is also long . The best part is that it even comes with an extension cord. It even has LED lights at the end, which saved me from using my own flashlight. So convenient.

I like the accessories for testing small connectors which is why I purchased it. 4 stars because the plastic case is cheap and too small.
