With this mannequin, there are pros and cons. Every head is different, but this is what I found with my mannequin.ProsThe hair is very thick, soft, and shiny. The length is nice. The face looks like the picture, and the makeup is painted on good. The table stand works great, and her head moves around in the stand. Her hair is very easy to comb.ConsShe does have a bald spot. If you look at her from the back, you can't tell, but in the front it's bald where her part would be.Because of the way they put her hair in, it is hard to smooth down. It was almost impossible to do a nice looking French braid because I could not get the hair to smooth down.This mannequin is good for someone who doesn't mind these things. Besides the bald spot her hair really is thick, and nice. Some updo's are difficult, but she is a great practice head. For the price, and her long, thick hair I am satisfied.I recommend her to someone who wants to do simple hairstyles, and loves long hair.

I purchased these a while back for last Christmas! and my grand daughters love them! They practice braiding hair and fancy hair styles ... I didnt know what to expect as the price was lower than others online... but these doll heads did not disappoint! 9 months later and they are still playing with them...The quality is very good, hair is thick and does not fall out!!! now thats a good deal...

My 12 yr old daughter sent me a picture of this as part of her Christmas wish list, and to be honest I didn't know what to expect. I didn't even know they made these things. She LOVES this thing and has been playing with it ever since she opened it a few days ago. It is nice quality and the hair is so realistic that I have been fooled into thinking it is my daughter's head when I see it peeking over the couch out of the corner of my eye. The realistic hair seems very easy to work with too as she has been braiding it, etc. and it doesn't tangle (like a toy doll or Barbie head would have).It also has a clamp that she can fix to a chair or table. Very pleased with this gift purchase!

Nothing exclusively impressive about this mannequin. I bought one for my Cosmetology State Board to demonstrate a a haircut. I ended up buying a different mannequin because unfortunately this ones hair is not practical. Its stick straight, and has very little hair. Obviously that's to be expected with mannequins to a certain extent, however this mannequin left it almost impossible to create a visually appealing haircut. The hair density per square inch is so poor that you really can't even establish a decent perimeter. Its not very easy to blend layers on hair like this either. At the end of the day, it's a mannequin, and you can use it, but its not going to be anything spectacular. I'd recommend spending the extra money for 100% human hair.

Not a bad training head. Clamp could be better but it works for what I need it for.

Not sure about cosmetology classes but this is great for my two daughters and I to practice braids and buns on. I have Rita clipped to a countertop but have also used her on the front porch railing when we are outside. Her hair has not fallen out or tangled and I don't see any bald spots like another reviewer reported. I would say she has thin in hair as there are numerous strands coming out of each "follicle" but the follicles allow scalp to be seen more than I expected.

Bought this for my 12 y/o daughter for a birthday present. She loves it except for it not having a definite "direction" for the hair on the top. Some chunks go to the left, some to the right, but there isn't a defining line or a part to work with, so she gets frustrated when trying to do small, intricate braids.
