Replacement Ear Pads for Sony MDR 7506 - GVOEARS Earpad Mesh Fabric Cushions for MDR V6 V7 MDR-CD900ST Headphones with Memory Foam (Black)

I ordered these cushions as replacements for my venerable Sony MDR-V6s which are used for both home studio recording/mixing & critical listening. The new cushions arrived well-packaged and came with installation instructions and some cleaning pads - a nice touch for tidying up underneath the old covers before install. Installation is easy but takes a bit of dexterity.In use, these cushions are comfortable - I like that they’re a bit deeper than the originals. The fabric seems high-quality and a bit breathable. Importantly, I don’t notice any discernible difference in sound with these installed. They’re very nice replacement cushions!

I love these!40 years on the radio airwaves, and I've had a lot of headphones, my current work set is the Sony MDR-V6, I've also had the Sony MDR7506 in the past. They are both amazing headphones, the only gripe I've ever had about them is that they are uncomfortable to wear for long periods. If you do any long-form recording, you will want more padding over your ears. Hello, more padding! These are fantastic! I purchased a cloth-covered pair a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love them. So soft around the ears, and they're NOT hot after wearing them for 30 - 40 minutes at a time. I was considering buying a far more expensive pair of headphones for my home studio, but not anymore. I'll get another pair of Sony's and replace those sweaty leather pads immediately with another pair of GVOEars. As for the longevity, who knows? But so far, I highly recommend it.

Excellent value. Well made. I used them with Sony MDR-7506. The thickness makes the ear hole nice and deep. Feels great.

These came with a printed color insert of installation notes and an email address for questions or issues. Only had for a couple of weeks so far, but they were easy to install, are comfortable to wear for long periods of desk work or studio music, and they don't slip or move around during use. Time will tell as to their durability/longevity, but they are meeting expectations so far.

I'm using these on my well-loved Sony MDR-7506 headphones, after many pairs of vinyl ones that shred within a few years. These seem perfect. They exactly match the dimensions in the photo, but keep in mind that these dimensions are much bigger than the originals (and most of the replacements I've tried). The larger diameter makes them much easier to install than the "normal" sized earpads, and I don't think they'll press even the largest ears after a long time wearing them. The fabric seems durable and breathable, with strong stitching. The only vinyl (with potential to flake off) is in the ring that stretches around the headphone frame. (All the genuine leather earpads I've seen are also built this way.)So I think I found my "keepers" after a lot of searching!

My old replacements only lasted 3 years before the faux leather was flaking off. These “fabric” replacements are exactly what I was looking for. Very comfortable and clearly won’t “flake off” in time. Despite these being much thicker than the originals I do not perceive any additional clamping pressure at all. Would definitely buy again if I ever need another set. Still hard to believe my Sony MDR-7506 headphones are still going strong after 25 years!

They fit my mdr 7506 and went on easy enough but they changed the sound so much and in a very bad way it's not worth using them. Your ear is pushed way too far from the drivers. I would get the velour or standard leather pads instead.

I've enjoyed the use Sony 7506 headphones for decades, am on my second set, at least, and have regularly ordered pad replacements. These were a little more expensive than prior ones, but they are absolutely the best! They are roomier, most importantly, and cushier, and the sound being emitted is at least as excellent as ever. They appear better made than prior pads, and were easier to install because they are sturdier and the material that goes into the slot is stronger. Try them, you'll like them; and enjoy your music!
