Incredible!!
I bought the Masterkey in hopes of it being a useful tool in adding depth to my understanding of the fretboard. As it turns out, it’s far beyond what I had expected! It’s a simple concept that adds simplicity to the big picture in terms of applying music theory. I hesitate to even use the word “theory” because that immediately sounds confusing. But this is truly a tool that puts it all into a very useful and practical perspective.I cannot recommend the Masterkey enough. It’s really wet my appetite for digging in, and I’m already applying musical principals. It’s the best bang for your buck on the market. There may be other gadgets that are similar, but this does the trick! Very cool!

A fantastic, well-designed and well-made product!
If I could leave ten stars I would. The Masterkey shows everything I need to know about music theory. It is very easy to use and understand. The directions and the booklet are well-written. The Masterkey feels very well-made. I am so happy that I bought this!

Sturdy
I have a cardboard musical slide ruler that I've made. This is plastic and it's hefty, and bigger than I expected. It has almost TOO much information on it. Very comprehensive. I'm a singer and am constantly writing out lead sheets for songs I play on the Ukulele so this comes in VERY handy! The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is, as I said, it has too many options. A simpler slide rule will have sufficed. But I do recommend this.

More than a transposing tool. Great for deconstructing too.
I am an amateur jazz guitarist. I don't often transpose (change keys) but I do often deconstruct melodies and solos to see what scale, chord, or arpegio they are in. I used to use a thin plastic Music 'Slide Guide' by P & M Aids. When I wore that out and found out it was no longer manufactured I chose this one. This tool makes deconstruction easy. It has all the major scale modes and chords out of them. It also has all the minor scales (Natural, Harmonic, and Melodic) but none of their modes or chords - (how about making one for us jazzers MasterKey). One correction - it identifies the minor pentatonic scale with the flat 5 as THE blues scale. It is actually the minor blues scale. The other blues scale is the major pentatonic with a flat 3.

This thing is awesome!
I lead a church group and spend a lot of time transposing for guitar and solo instruments. This thing really fits the bill for that and much more! It also shows different scales in your desired key and how to build chords. The quality is great also.

Slide into it
Very useful tool for composing/transposing. Compact design that you can take anywhere. Sit with it and go thru the examples. Read the instruction carefully and try transposing a piece of music. Once you do a few things with it, it becomes second nature to use the tool. Now I use this tool with my students and leave most of my other instructional charts at home. This was a welcome addition to all my other learning tools. Get one and see what it can do for you.

Instant transposer tool
It reminds me of the slide rule (preceded calculators) that my father used to use in college. I play keyboards by sheet music or lead sheets, but the other musicians (mostly guitarists of some flavor) in the church praise and worship team play by ear or the Nashville Number system. Previously when the vocalists would go off in another key, I would have to take out my pencil, write out the new scale and then transpose my music. Now I just have to whip out this tool and I'm back in business. Thanks now I can...almost...keep up with them

Convenient
For rekeying a song without having to think too hard about it, this will do the trick. It seems sturdy, easy enough to use, and capable of far more than my musical needs will demand. It's already proven useful. Glad to have it.
