Very nice upgrade
I've used the Core for quite a while. I was hesitant to upgrade to a closer shave, but eventually bit the bullet and went with the Element. Along with the new blades from OneBlade, this razor ticks all the boxes for me: 1) close, smooth shave; 2) no irritation and minimal nicks and cuts; 3) excellent quality. Nice job, OneBlade!

The best razor that I've ever tried
This OneBlade blows my double-edge (DE) safety razor, a classic Merkur 34C, out of the water. It is easier to load than a DE, glides smoothly and effortlessly and the shave is clean. This OneBlade handles multi-day stubble and daily shaving alike with ease. I like that it has a pivoting head, which makes it stand out from almost all other DE razors. For example, the now-popular Henson and the Supply SE don't have a pivoting head. Having a pivoting head means that you don't need to hold the razor at precisely the right angle all the time, which is trickier around the chin area.Replacement single-edge razors for this OneBlade are cheap, although more expensive than DE, at just under $1 apiece (versus 30-50 cents for DE), but still *far* cheaper than replacement cartridges for most modern cartridge razors which usually cost more than $3 apiece.Compared to a cartridge razor, this OneBlade is cheaper to own and more environmentally friendly because there's no plastic waste. It also cuts through multi-day stubble effortlessly. Cartridge razors like the Gillette Fusion get ensnared by multi-day stubble and the only way to shave in that situation is to force it, which gets painful.I learned about this product from the Sharpologist.

A very good razor
This is a quality razor at a very reasonable price. It shaves close and I rarely experience any cuts or nicks. I own a number of razors and I find I often use this one. I do recommend it.

A shaving break-through? I'm still looking...
As a long-time Merkur double edge safety razor user, I was hoping for something that might be a little kinder to my face as it succumbs to gravity. After reading the great reviews on this nice looking machine, I had high hopes. Alas, they were not to be realized.I realize that there's a learning curve on this and that it requires a different technique -- putting some pressure on the upper part of the razor head to activate the pivot -- but after studying the instructions and videos online and a solid 6 or 7 shaving sessions, I can only say that I have better things to do than spending weeks to perfect my technique. One thing is for sure: even if you get the technique down, you're going to spend longer shaving your face with this gizmo than with a regular safety razor. The instructions make it very clear that the first "pass" should take about a minute and remove not much more than the lather. That's an accurate description, but it means you need at least a second and in my case a third pass to get just a half-way decent shave. With my trusty Mercur, one pass was usually enough for most occasions.I want to acknowledge that I got a personal email response within 24 hours from their customer service dept., when I wrote and asked for help with the razor. Unfortunately, the suggestions just didn't make enough of a difference to turn this around for me.Maybe people with a different facial "landscape" might have a different experience.

Love it
This is not a promotional offer for a positive review! This is an honest review. For quite sometime I I used the safety razor: Twig leaf shave also supply co. So the company of supply.co and leaf shave blades was still giving burns, and cuts cause my skin is sensitive! Also i used a double edge safety razor and was the worst! So I gave myself a try and I bought the Element one blade razor which included the :10x OneBlade HiCarbon SE Chromium/PTFE coated Blades. So I gave it a try and Wow! I don’t get no cuts or razor burns like the other brands that I mentioned remind you my skin is sensitive and now I’m stuck with this razor cause it’s not great it’s an excellent razor. And some people complain and give bad reviews that those blades are expensive yes they cost a little more than other blades but still cause way less then the plastic razor blade cartridges which comes out more on the long run!Love love it and love it! Will stay with this one for sure! Thank you so much for making my day and week! By the way it gives me a real close shave with no irritation and no burns and no razor bumps! Well that’s my opinion each his own!

Just as good as the stainless steel Genesis..but a lot lighter.
I read the negative review (out of two when I posted this), and I COMPLETELY disagree. I've been wet shaving for about 20 years now and used just about every mainstream safety razor made. By far, OneBlade is my favorite. I have been exclusively using the Genesis, which is the stainless steel version of this razor. The Genesis is at a much higher price point, however. The craftsmanship of this razor is superb and on par with the Genesis. It's significantly lighter than the stainless steel Genesis, and therefore has a different feel in the hand. If the Genesis wasn't around, this would be my only razor.Despite the price difference, the shave from the Element is just as good! It constantly cuts baby butt smooth - if you employ the three pass technique common to all safety razors: with, across, and against the grain. After a few shaves it becomes second nature, effortless, and fast (if you need it to be). BBS everytime. Never cut or nicked myself. The only con isn't with the razor, per se, it's the cost of the blades. If you buy them from OneBlade, who I believe has exclusive trade rights in the USA, each blade runs about $.80. I have average stubble and shave daily. I get 3-4 shaves per blade. You can find the blades cheaper internationally online. Even so, $.20-.25 per shave isn't crazy. This makes a great daily razor or as I use it, a travel razor. I still use it a few days a month for the variety, but consistent shave and technique.Despite its price relative to it's high polish stainless sibling, it's still top shelf quality. ZERO complaints about it.
