Comes complete with microchip installed.
This product is excellent value for money in comparison with the OEM product, more so that the cartridges comes with the microchip installed to monitor your ink levels. They came well packaged and fully sealed, and with just a few blanking plates and plugs to remove they were installed in minutes. The printer recalibrated itself and after a short while was printing high quality documents. Would definitely recommend and will purchase again

Excellent quality for printing, but still a bit expensive.

Simple to install and works perfectly in my MFP283fdw
This costs a little more than some but it includes the chip and I've been caught before with cartridges that the printer doesn't like. After installing all four colours together the printer gave a warning about not being real HP cartridges, but everything works and the printer even reports all colours 100% full. The test print was clear and bright. The only downside is no instructions in the box, and the instructions on the amazon page say to remove the black paper at step 3. There is no black paper, but there are two orange plugs that have to be removed. Still, I am very relieved that it was so simple.

It doesn't work with the recommended HP printer. You get a computer warning that the chip on the toner is not recognised.
