I like the flat style the best. Makes them blend in better with the truck rather than some other steps that hang way down or stick way out,(looks cheap and cheesey), these stuck out to far for my liking, I cut the brackets in half, slid them back 2 inches and welded back together. Made it sit closer to the cab. It would also be better if every bracket was made like the driverside front, where it bolts to the pinch weld areas as well, making it 4 bolts(like factory steps) for each bracket instead of 2 bolts. It would be more sturdy and not have a little flex like it does now with just 2 bolts per bracket. Also on the passenger side front, you have to either buy 1 bolt to fit the factory ribbed nut or drill it out to use the hardware provided. I used a bolt. Same bolt that comes with driverside front bracket. Overall it's a good product, just needs some improvements.
