Works for my intended purpose. I use it to pick up saw blades from a 55 gallon drum. Blades weigh approximately 7lbs each. Sometimes the magnet will pick up 2 blades at once.

This impressed me a lot! Most low cost magnetic devices fail in strength... this one exceeded my expectations. I'll be buying more in the future!!

I searched Amazon for a strong magnet with a release function to pick up small metal tumbling media. This is to replace the last one I had that was flimsy and broke. This item came up in my search, and I didn't realize that the release function doesn't work for small items, only if you're picking up a big metal item. I plan to modify it with plastic barrier so the small items will drop away (hopefully) when the magnet is retracted. Overall this magnet is strong and seems much sturdier than the last magentic pick up tool I had, so I'm really hoping the modification will work. I wanted to leave a review clarifying for others that as is, the design of this doesn't allow for the release of small items.

I bought this magnet for my pool. Some workers had dropped some screws in the deep end and right now, the pool is too cold to fish myself. I didn't want the vacuum to suck them up and ruin pipes, so I used the magnet. Strong, comes with rope, and was easy to use!

Havent caught anything yet. Fast shipping so that was a plus. Everything was in Chinese, so I didnt know what the red tube with the red liquid was until I googled it and I come to the conclusion its glue lol? The rope is pretty long I thought it would of came knotted already, so it took me forever to find a good video on YouTube too tie a knot that wouldn't come undone, those videos suck, I pretty much macgyver the damn thing, and it hasn't come off yet lol. Thw magnetic it self is strong I suppose but ita a lot smaller then I thought it was. But I'll go try it out again tomorrow and hopefully I catch something cool, and dont lose it lol.

This has been such a fun and great activity I've been doing with my boyfriend!!! We've been picking up trash and we're working on cleaning our oceans!!!!! The kit is super cute and it's awesome!!! I definitely recommend

I love this magnet. It works very well for me. Easy to throw. Light weight but awesome power.
