Q: Are there 4 bands to help keep the mat in place when rolled out or are they just to keep it closed? My daycare uses the blue raised beds.

The bands are just to keep it closed when rolled up. My son uses it at daycare on the blue raised beds too and it works just fine without the straps on the 4 corners.

Q: Will this fit my 6 year old ?

Yes it will. The 7 year old I watch sleeps with it but if she gets any taller than it would be too small.

Super soft and little girl loves it!

I love this for my little girl. She loves it and it is super soft! We use it for travel like a sleeping bag because she doesn't like sleeping bags, but she loves this! I like that it folds over like a blanket rather than zips. It's super cute and the perfect size for a 2-4 year old. Cleans easily and is good quality. Keeps her nice and toasty warm. :)
