Star Trek: Light-and-Sound Tricorder (RP Minis)

Mini Mr Tricorder - An affordable Tricorder
This a fantastic little electronic tricorder with lights and sounds. It's s based on the model (Mark VI) seen in the first two seasons of The Next Generation (fans of TNG will know this early model was also seen in the beginning of season 3, before we got the new Mark VI and VII models). At first glance it does look like a happy meal toy, but the stickers and lights soon make up for the tricorders apparent blank appearance. The lights are not entirely accurate they appear to be toned down, theres lots of blue, some orange and pink but its not much to loose any sleep over. Buyers have to apply the stickers themselves, do take care, as removing and realigning them is incredibly difficult. Luckily I managed to ace mine first time. My only serious complaint is the sound which is way too loud. The 48 page booklet is a great little read and relays knowledge of tricorders from all Trek shows.Overall, I stand by the five star rating, its no Mark X, but this tricorder is affordable, functional, has accurate stickers, great lights and the size is quite good. This is a must have for all fans of Trek!

Awe it’s so cute
For the price you pay why would you not and it’s a good conversation starter ie what is that on your shelf? Are you sure you are a grown up? No I'm not and NEVER WILL BE! ( some thing like that) 😁😈

Best of the series - Annoying decals
I have the Phaser, communicator and shuttlecraft too. The tricorder is by far the best of the series. nice size and weight, good action on flipping out - and either auto folds up again or it can be fixed open. When opened, there are lots of lights (far more than on any of the other gadgets of the series and way more impressive), and the sounds are good and don't shut off too soon. The only thing that prevents this from getting 5 stars is the decals/stickers are really annoying to apply. Any rip at all and it wrecks the overall display. Really, it should just come with that done already.

Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor not a....
Superb little toy. Not a kit as it is fully built, you just ad the decals and remove the battery cover and your away. Decals, well to be honest, stickers are crisp and glossy and stick very well. Just be careful as you can rip them if you miss align them and have to move them again. Sound is accurate and in really happy with it

Love it... A great little collectable
Brought one for a friend as gift and because it looked so good I got one for myself. You do have to put the stickers on yourself, so be careful.

As a Star Trek gook, this is a great little toy
As a Star Trek geek, this is a great little toy. It's only half the size of the original prop, but it makes up for that in functionality. It begins making the iconic scanning noise as soon as it opens, and they've added a ratchet mechanism to the hinge, so it makes a fairly good approximation of the clicking noise when you open and close it.Stickers can be a tad fiddly to install, but with a bit of patience you'll get them aligned well. There's no interactivity, no buttons to do anything it just cycles through a light show while making the noise. Not really good for cosplay due to the size being wrong, but it makes a good toy and it's about the best prop replica being produced on the market at the moment.

How quaint!
The media could not be loaded. Once you've stuck all the decals on its a great little model. It's about the size of a deck of cards open and has little lights that go with the sound (which is annoying as hell). Will go great on my display shelf.

Quasi perfetto
Sembra proprio un attrezzo di scena del telefilm STNG.
