Accurate and way to read.

This combination square is excellent value for money but as you can see, the thumb screw breaks very easily and the ruler had a small bur on the end which I had to grind down. It’s a shame, I’ve only had it a couple of weeks… I love the metric only rule, it was the reason why I bought it. Presch need to supply spare parts because I don’t want to buy another set!

As ever, top quality from Presch. I found myself using the little combination square a lot more than I thought I would.

The first thing to check with a square is that claimed 90 degree angle. It did not disappoint…I compared it to my Woodpeckers 1281 square and it was spot on…Then I did the parallel lines test by scribing a line from a straight edge of ply and flipping the square over to scribe a second line close by...they were as parallel as I could tell. The edges of the blade feel a bit ‘machine sharp’..it won’t cut you, but it feels like it could…a quick wipe along the corners with wet and dry paper solves that. The numerals are clear and pressed into the steel. You could pay three times more for an arguably smoother blade slide, but this unit is as good as any woodworker needs imo. As expected, it comes with detachable hardened steel scriber and a spirit level which seems to be level enough! I couldn't find anything to complain about!

Nice to have one for small items and one for large. They are very accurate.

Questa squadra da falegname non ha nulla da invidiare a marchi prestigiosi. Robusta, versatile. Precisa sia sulla scala graduata sia sugli angoli (45/90). Non si fanno errori di parallasse perché il righello é sottile ma robusto. La rotella di regolazione tiene bene la battuta e la bolla sembra precisa (considerate però che la superficie di appoggio è limitata). Utile il punzone quando non si ha a portata di mano una matita.
