After updating our main guest bathroom we needed to replace our old straight shower curtain rod with something new and improved. I searched both our local big hardware stores for what they had in shower curtain rods, in-store and online, and special ordered a curved rod from one of them, I won't mention the name here. Upon receipt and inspection it appeared to be what I wanted. However upon putting the two curved pieces together I noticed the bent ends were not inline with each other. The curved tubing was twisted just enough to where it was impossible to mount. I promptly returned it to the store for a refund. I decided to search for a rod on Amazon and ran across this rod and read some of the reviews and decided to order and see if it fulfilled our needs, and it did wonderfully.This is a sturdy stout shower curtain rod, well made and a great value. Being a career tooling machinist I am not satisfied with substandard equipment. I evaluate the quality and design of products I purchase and this product is designed very well. The tubing is solid, not flimsy, the wall mount brackets are very stout and precisely forged. This rod can be mounted by one person but it is easier to have and assistant help support the rod when securing the second final wall mount bracket. Very few tools are required to make this installation and all required fasteners are included. Once the rod and brackets are secured the the wall tightening the top and bottom set screw on each bracket, with the included allen wrench, completes the installation and snugs the rod from any vertical wobble.I highly recommend this shower curtain rod and would buy another without hesitation if I had the need.

This was a cinch to install. Unlike most other items bought for a song, it had very thorough and complete instructions, written in understandable language and with adequate photos.Pros:- Easy to install. Took me about 15 minutes with a handheld drill and a hammer.- Looks very sharp, and is incredibly sturdy. I have no concerns about this falling down no matter what happens.- Templates that come with it show you exactly where to drill and screw - so no worries about being out of line or making a mistake. It's just so simple.- The large, sturdy anchoring pieces won't move - and look sharp, too.Cons:- Getting it level via the set screws seems a bit silly. It's overengineered from that perspective - there must be an easier way to do it.

I've been looking for a new shower rod for a while. This one is excellent. It does have a chrome finish, but the actual rod is really aluminium. It gives a lot of space in the shower and I really like that. It was fairly easy to install, easier if you had a helper. The mounting ends are very nice, heavy metal with a chrome finish - no plastic! When installed, its extremely sturdy, and a huge step up from those spring compression shower rods. The unit also has some eye appeal as well - it reminds me of several hotels that I have stayed in over the years. If you dont have a glass shower door, realize that this is a huge step above those as well - without the huge expense! I have no problem giving this 5 stars.

Ok, so I gave this shower rod 1 star but if there was a choice for zero stars then that is what I would have selected. The rod its self is perfect and was exactly what I was looking for. Now let me explain the "1 star" rating. We decided to paint our guest bath and I already had a curved shower rod in place but it was cheap and would sag on one end because the mounting hardware sucked. So I shopped around and found the Zenith to be the best for the price and bought it back in September. It arrived in one piece and nothing appeared damaged so I left it in the box and put it away. It is now November and we finally got around to painting the bath. I pulled out the shower rod and began to mount it. I got both brackets mounted to the wall and then realized there was a problem. As I attempted to insert the shower rod into the brackets I found that only one end would fit. I went back to the instructions to see if I was missing anything and read the one of the brackets was 7/8 and one was 1'. So I pulled the brackets back off the wall and found that they were both 7/8. The item is no longer eligible for a return and I was not able to find just the mounting brackets online. So, I gave this product 1 star because I had to buy it twice. Lesson learned, after receiving your merchandise check to see that ALL pieces are correct and accounted for.

(Update(S) at bottom)Great product! Really makes the shower feel bigger. The second bar is great for an additional place to hang a towel, a feature I've come so use to I'll never go back to a single bar. The mounting brackets have an adjustment screw that aides in leveling the bar. Install was simple enough, very pleased with the purchase.Side note: the chrome trim cover on the mounting brackets can be omitted from the install for a more industrial look.UPDATE:4/13/2014The shower bar has now begun to rust. This is installed in a guest bathroom so wear/tear is not a factor and we have not used any cleaners or solvents that might cause damage. There seems to be a quality issue with regard to the chrome plating.We have contacted the seller and are hoping for a replacement. I have reduced my rating from 5 stars to 2, I'll update again after hearing from the seller.UPDATE 1/29/15Updated from 2 to 4 stars. The company replaced the defective unit with very fast shipping a great deal of courtesy. The new bar has performed well for some time now and we have not experienced the same defect as the first unit. Excellent customer service. All of the aforementioned positives apply with one new addition: buy from these guys with confidence, they will back up their products. I am impressed.

This curtain rod did exactly what I wanted - it made the shower seem much bigger. The rod and the fittings are metal, and feel quite strong, unlike many others I found in stores. The chrome finish is holding up well. No issues with rust here so far, 5 months in.The adjustable feature worked perfectly when setting up, and there is a plastic piece that helps with sliding the curtain hooks across the point where the two ends of the rod fit together. It also helps keep water from working its way in.I also bought a set of curtain hooks with bearings, and now the curtain always opens and closes smoothly, never sticking.Maytex 90038 V Hinged Glide Hooks (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00B992S1A/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)Setup was easy, but it is a two person job. My bath tub and walls are not the normal set up, so I was looking for a rod that had brackets that I could pivot. I was able to mount the brackets easily, and to my specific application, and it worked perfectly. The curved rod gives the illusion that the bath tub is bigger than it is.

This is exactly what we were looking for! Our bath/shower is an older insert retrofit design, there isn't much room to move in there so we started looking around for a curved shower curtain rod. Found this one and the price was better than what we could find at local big box stores and the reviews were positive. It arrived in 2 days and it took about 30 minutes or less to take down the existing rod and install this one.Our shower is on the small side, so the curve doesn't extend too far, but it makes a big difference when you're in there. Lots more shoulder and elbow space, you wouldn't think a minor change like this would make such a difference. We're very happy with this product!

I am so pleased with the purchase of this curved shower rod!! I looked at numerous sites and this one seemed to be the best. I had no issues installing it by myself, and cannot believe what a difference it makes in the whole feel of the bathroom. The shower curtains hang much better, and I have lots of elbow room in the shower.... This really was an amazing purchase!!

Travelling quite a bit lately,in most hotels they have these rods and with a new bathroom being installed at my house I got it.Gives you more room in the shower.
