I bought this for my desk at home to replace an older unit that simply took up too much space. In most ways it is perfect for my application. But, my unit has many glaring weakness. The sound volume is far too low. I say this, for instance, in comparison to my cell phone and to other similar table phones of another brand that we have elsewhere in the house. It tends to create high frequency screechy feedback both in speaker and non-speaker mode. It tends to hang up in the "in use" mode. It is a BAD phone, the worst I have ever encountered. Off to the landfill.

I purchased this phone for a friend, he's in a nursing facility, it's poor quality I do not recommend this phone, I purchased a phone got it October 20th of this year he's had it a little over a month he worked okay for a month then it got to the point where we'd have a conversation in the middle of the conversation he got where he could not hear me he does not have a hearing problem but when I talked to him he can't hear me but I can hear him call him my name ask him if I'm on the phone when I answer he cannot hear me I have to hang up and call back so I can try to finish my conversation is then that to me several times yesterday when I called him today I cannot hear a phone ringing it's complete silent but it rings on his end he'll pick it up and say hello and I'll say hello I can hear him loud and clear but he cannot hear me, I've had to hang up and keep calling back and again I could not hear no ringing but he could have hear it on his end and he pick it up and and talk and say hello I say hello he cannot hear me, so now I have to purchase him another phone I would not recommend this phone to anybody it's of poor quality

Very difficult to remove the battery cover. Had to pry it with a knife. It's not much better after surgery. Beeps every time phone connects to base and power. (None of my other electronics have this "feature", so it is annoying.) The on-phone controls are baffling. Paper instructions are difficult to read or understand.
