High Quality.
I love this NVR. It is easy to setup and I love that it can hold two drives. The cooling seems quite adequate and the PSU is internal with it's own fan that is silent.

Good unit!
Complex set up!Instructions tell you how to but doesn’t tell you how to troubleshoot.I have 11 cameras and a 2T solid state hard drive and it lasts about 2 weeks before needing to format hard drive.Overall good unit.

Product support
Amcrest product support is amazing…purchased an Amcrest AD410 doorbell and wasn’t able to connect it to my DVR, less than 5 minutes in the phone with technical support Jason and we were connected and live viewing….amazing!

Arrive undamaged and seems to be working ok
One thing not mentioned but can be resolved is that the NVR doesn't have mounting holes for laptop sized hard drives. Other than that I have no complaints at this time. It seems to be a high quality NVR.

Good product, questionable support
Troubleshooting tips:I had my original Amcrest for ~7years and I was content. Without any warning, It died suddenly. This was my opportunity to purchase the 16 channel POE so I could add extra cameras. First one arrived and it would only connect to my wifi Amcrest door bell/camera. None of the POE cameras would work. Didn’t even recognize them. After troubleshooting with the Amcrest team they suggested I return it to Amazon and get another. I did this and the second NVR did the same exact thing!Phone support once again told me to update firmware and do a factory reset. Same issue.I also purchased an additional Amcrest camera as a control in case the original NVR fried all the cameras. I plugged in the new camera and nothing else and it worked. When I plugged in the rest of the cameras I had nothing. I suggested to Dominic (Amcrest tech support) that there was a strong possibility that one of the cameras failed and was dragging down the rest of the cameras. He immediately dismissed my idea. Needless to say, I plugged every camera in one at a time until I found the bad camera. It was obvious because the screen went blank. I’m still happy with the product overall.
