Fan-flipping-tastic!
Oh my, talk about having to stuff my face into a pillow, so I didn't wake hubster, whilst snickering like a maniac! This book has awesome characters.Darlene is a woman. sometimes ;) I'd love to have as a bestie lol. She is awesome! She took over hell AND The Devil and she's not giving him a chance to say NO, to anything.Lucifer as a spot obsessed, in love Devil had me rocking.I've seen his 'nice' side in several of the other books, but he'll say he wasn't, ever!!I adore the Arch Angels, they can be naughty ;) :DJust fab books.

Pure, escapist fun
I've been looking forward to this book since the author teased us with the notion of its creation in her Facebook group, and boy was it worth the wait. Satin Blabbermouth McSmarty Liar Pants (name from Whatever For Hire), is possibly one of my favourite characters in the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a a body count) universe, and this story of how he meets his wife, the wonderfully sassy, snarky, feisty and delightfully wicked and violent Darlene is pure, unadulterated joy.

Seriously funny
While I love all of R J's books, this one resonated with me the most. I found myself spending more time trying to see through my tears of laughter than reading at one point. Well done maestro!

RJ Blain will brighten any day.
I love this author's humour and happily re-read all of her books. This story tells the tale (tail?) of Darlene and answers questions raised in 'Whatever For Hire'. Prepare to laugh, snigger and even snort out loud.

One of my favorites from this series
Actually, I love the entire series, but there is just something about this book that keeps me re-reading it. (OK, Murder Mittens and Grave Humor are my other two favorite re-reads from this series.) Honestly, I like the fact that the main characters in every book seem to pop up in other books. I hope there will be more books in this series...it's just that much fun to read.

we finally got to read Darlenes’ story!
I’ve been waiting for this book for a long time, and it’s finally here. And yes, it’s what I had hoped for, and yet, it’s not. It took a slightly different direction than I expected, but that’s ok. Keeps the series fresh. Keep in mind though, if you haven’t read any of the earlier books in this series, this would be a great time to start. Some things will make more sense if you are familiar w. some of the characters mentioned in this novel. I’ve already started badgering friends and family get the books, as I know they have the same slightly off-beat warped sense of humour that I have. A warning though: if irreverence about religious characters (angels, the devil, etc) offends you, then this isn’t the book for you. Or maybe it is, it never hurts to look at things from a new perspective.

A waste of time
The book started out fun but after the first two chapters turned into something extremely boring: an endless repetitive dialogue with the same jokes over and over. The characters were shallow and one dimensional and it made no sense hat all why everyone helped the heroine (which was supposed to be witty and cool but turned out to be just annoying and unfriendly). I only made it halfway through though. Couldn't take it anymore. Life is just to precious to waste it on something like that... I hope her other novels are better...

Satin didn't know what hit him!
I loved this prequel to Whatever For Hire. Aside from the great interactions between Darlene and the Devil I liked that a number of questions/situations were answered/explained.This is another great novel from RJ, fitting in nicely with the rest of the Romantic Comedy (With A Body Count) books. Darlene is a tolerate no fools, take no prisoners type of woman and turns the Devil and his Hells upside down in her quest for justice and revenge.I highly recommend this book as an antidote to the world as it is today.
