I am using these for kayaking and particularly like the absence of bulky padding on the palms
Finally! A pair of very well made gloves that fit perfectly. I am using these for kayaking and particularly like the absence of bulky padding on the palms. Enough padding to avoid blisters while maintaining a good grip on my paddle. The sizing chart was accurate too. The stitching around all of the fingertips and grab-loops for easy removal when wet are very nice features often not found on other gloves. I like them so much, I think I may order an extra pair. Good Job Fishing Tree!

Comfortable but don't hold up
This company asked for a review and about my satisfaction as soon as I received these gloves but I had not tested them out so did not want to review yet. We moved to a mountain town with a high altitude and I wanted the gloves to cover my hands while I hiked, to protect them. I say that, because the gloves were never near water, and not used for any other occasion other than hiking and then driving home. On the plus side, they are comfortable and do cover my hands. AND, they are very poorly made and do not hold up. They started looking really raggedy pretty quickly- in less than a month, and in less than 4 months, the seams on one of the gloves has split, along with some of the finger areas wearing out. They are inexpensive, but you do get what you pay for. This is the first time I have ever bought this kind of glove, so not sure how pricier gloves hold up or how they compare

Trekking? Yes. SPF, Slightly Padded, Breathable hand protection
Not used fishing, but can say these are great with trekking poles. Performed very well over miles of hiking in Calif Summer heat (70-90 degree) over varied terrain; 50% strenuous and sketchy mix of granite boulders, hummas, mud, and roots put substantial pressure on the poles and hands. FishingTree fingerless gloves are definately with the gear I want in my hiking kit. These gloves gave me confidence in grip, feel, UV protection and also wipe the sweat off my forehead with the fast drying stretchy backs, +open fingers to do map and compass checks quickly. The "after" pictures attached are from our three day backpacking trip with 30-miles of sweaty use with trekking poles carrying 29lb packs. Remove them wet by letting them peel off inside-out. Some wear in two leather contact points (I'd estimate 20% used, and 80% more life until it wears a hole through). Sorry, no fishing test in this report. But I'd be happy to buy these comfortable gloves again.

I love my new fingerless gloves
I love my new fingerless gloves. They feel great. I have been fishing for 14 years and never wore gloves except to handle tarpon and spiny fish. the sun has been hard on my hands. I started thinking about wearing fingerless gloves. I bought a competitors pair of gloves at a local tackle store. After one day those other gloves gave me a blister.I started googling for a new pair. Your product came up as highly rated. I used them they very next day after I got them when we went offshore to look for Mahi. After wearing them all day on the water, they were still so comfortable I hardly noticed I was wearing gloves. When they got wet, they dried very quickly. I put them in a lingerie bag and tossed into the washer and they came out fresh and clean ready for the next day of fishing! And yes, I fish with pretty nails!

Better than SUNSCREEN
I am born and raised in Florida, and therefore I have spent my life in the sun. I fish frequently on my 22' Skeeter Bay Boat. Fishing behind mangroves for Snook and Redfish keeps my hands in the sun throughout the entire trip. After my last outing, I was surprised to have huge red burn areas on the backs of both my hands. THIS SCARED ME. My wife suggested using sunscreen, but that is not going to work. Sunscreen and live bait do not mix, the scent would be on the bait and the fish are simply not going to bite. Additionally, I dip my hands in the water often to release a fish or just simply to rinse my hands and sunscreen would be gone pretty quickly and again now leaving a scent in the water as well. I found these gloves and thought I would give them a try. THEY ARE THE PERFECT SOLUTION. VERY VERY flexible. They fit perfectly and I love the Velcro strap that adjusts to whatever tightness you desire. This keeps them solidly in place. I use light to medium weight tackle and these gloves allow me to handle hooks with ease, where thicker gloves are cumbersome. Easy to reel, and put your hand right down in the water to land your fish. They dry super quick. The palms have a sort of leather material to add strength. It also protects you from fins. I should have had these years ago, but all I can say now is I feel comfortable being out in the sun. And they look cool!

Excellent for kayaking
Bought these to protect my hands when kayaking. The most important thing was that they worked well while wet and were comfortable. They are light weight, with a good grip. I've seen other gloves that advertise cushioning gel, etc. These do not have any cushion, and that's good. I didn't want cushioning, I wanted to avoid blisters which these gloves do perfectly. I ordered two gloves, medium for a man, small for a woman. We are average size and both fit comfortably respectively.

Disappointed in quality
I ordered these gloves for my husband since he has sensitivity towards the sun. He wore these gloves twice before they started to show wear and tear. These gloves were not used in any harsh conditions. They were used for driving and for walking the dog. I was so excited to have found these, but was pretty frustrated when they started falling apart so quickly.

Excellent for sun protection while driving.
I live in the desert southwest. My dermatologist noticed several patches of skin on my hands that were precancerous and she recommended wearing gloves while driving. She said people don’t realize how much sun exposure hands get while driving. Long story short, I use these gloves for sun protection while driving. I used the size chart to order and I’m glad I did or I wouldn’t have ordered the small size. The gloves are very comfortable with a snug fit. I like the Velcro at the wrist which keeps the gloves in place. The palm has a slight padding grip fabric and the gloves have two little loops to pull for easy removal. I’m very happy I got these and not a cheaper pair.
