Mediocre materials
This is OK, the quality is fine but not as good as I was expecting. It's made from a generic finely woven nylon, printed to make it look (but not feel or be) fine canvas, and has a coating made to feel like waxed canvas. I don't expect it will wear well; past experience with similar materials make me think the fake canvas thread print will wear off and look terrible as a result. Also, the stitching and zips are quite poor. The quilting on the inside is fairly nice though. All in all, it's a perfectly fine case, but not the quality I would expect for the price (£20).

Great quality, but not as good as I thought
The texture of the case was not as smooth as I have expected, but the quality is exceptional and I would recommend getting it for the price.

prettaaaay good
a litte tight to fit into and a little hard to zip- otherwise great. like the look, design, and that it's water resistant.

Not bad but could be better
Just bought this from Amazon to protect my new 15" rMBP and thought I'd share my thoughts in comparison to my previous 17" MBP Tucano Colore Second Skin (Neoprene) and my sister's 15" rMBP Incase Protective Sleeve Deluxe (PU construction white with red highlights - SKU CL60263).So first onto the Looks, I think it probably is the best looking on a pc screen but in reality, it does look a bit plasticky. It also had quite a few loose strands here and there making the overall appearance slightly "rushed" as opposed to "well crafted". I would rate my previous Tucano Colore as very slightly better and my sis' Incase Deluxe as far far better. However, looks are very subjective so YMMV, but I would rate it 4/10 for looksInterior padding on this is OK actually and it fits somewhere in between the other two. Worst was the Tucano Colore which was neoprene with virtually no extra padding at all. It did it's job but probably wouldn't have protected the 17" if I'd have ever dropped it. This CS Pantone is far better with a lovely quilted interior and decent enough padding to be OK. However, the Incase Deluxe again comes out on top with far thicker padding and therefore more protection. This CS Pantone gets 6-7/10 for paddingFit: The 15" rMBP fits but is a bit loose inside. My old Tucano Colore OTOH fitted VERY snug so felt better in the hand. Yet again, both outclassed by the Incase Deluxe (which is getting to be a bit of a trend). Overall, due to the fact that it feels like it was made for a 15.5" rather than a 15" laptop, i'd give it 4/10 for fitment.Zip: Oh dear! Cheap plastic rubbish that often sticks and you have to be very careful when using for fear of damaging the cheap plastic scoops/chain. I think if it ever snagged, it would probably mean waving good bye to ever being able to close it again. The zips on the Colore and Deluxe are far sturdier and don't ever snag, meaning this Pantone gets a (deserved) 2/10.Spillage protection: Right, so I haven't actually immersed this in water, but light spills will run off (as it will on the Deluxe) and are fine if the rivulets don't stray near the zip. My old Colore was the worst as it tended to absorb coffee spills rather than protect from them. SO AT LAST a redeeming feature that gives this Pantone another deserved 7-8/10Overall: I used a £5 Amazon voucher to buy this so I only ended up spending £15 on it. For that price I would have given this 4 stars. It’s also worth noting that the Tucano was about £25 and the Incase was even more at £32 (but is better built in almost every aspect), so this ends up being slightly cheaper. However, I’m actually going to score this based on if I had to spend the actual current Amazon cost of £20 as that’s what people will be looking at when deciding to buy....so based on it’s pro’s c.f. it’s shortcomings I would rate this 3/5. It’s not a terrible case but for a bit more you could get much better if you look around.
